Isaiah 41:31) But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint

What can stop a person from waiting on the Lord? Luke 21:34) And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.)) The things of this life are temporal. What can last and not fade away? That which is seen does perish. But that which is unseen is everlasting. Spend the time strengthening the soul, making strong the spirit. To get to the permanent destination, we need to see past the temporal distractions. Matthew 13:22) He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.))
The world is a distraction and can hinder or block a person from reaching God. The world’s ways are not God’s ways! The world thinks abroad, but we as followers of the Lord, need think in a narrow way being obedient to God. Getting caught up in worldly pleasures that are temporal, that do not strengthen the soul, benefit you how as a child of God? Doesn’t the world promote iniquity and sinful behavior? That which as a child of God we have no business in? “Be ye separate”, “come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins”.))
This is critical! How can you be separate if your life is filled with unrighteous? Job Job 28:28 )... The fear of the Lord is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding)) Many people are deceiving themselves, living a lie and don’t know it! Trust not in thine own understanding, but many do! Seek the Lord, but many don’t! With your whole heart, but many are not! Why, because some temporal focus is dominating their lives, being a false god in their life. This is not acceptable in God’s eyes! God wants our life, he commands obedience of us. “Fight the good fight of faith”, it is not much of a fight, if you are not leaning to God. You can’t have what you can’t see, people can not see the danger and snare of their sinful nature because they are comfortable living in it and how can you get rid of that which you are comfortable in? Sin is first nature and the Spiritual nature put aside. People reach for pleasure rather then God, temporal satisfaction rather then eternal knowledge, knowing the word of God! We need to reach for God each day and not the world. Flee from sin and reach for righteous leaning to God and not our own understanding! “by the word of truth” which is in the bible not leaning to the right hand nor the left, but taking the word of God to heart and behold it’s power in our lives. Call on him while he is near, the accepted time is now!

Hi Cooper25,

Thanks for sharing this, right is the word we are to focus on.

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:32>>

Be good

-Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. (Romans 1:16; John 8:34; Jude 1:24-25.)
