Isaiah 35:8) And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein

Why is the highway called the way of Holiness? Because the sinner shall not enter there in, and yet how many people choose to live in sin, walking against God! Living in perverseness, abiding in sin rather then fighting against it? People think a little sin won’t hurt but they are deceiving themselves. “A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump”, yet how poorly many take this into account. Sin should not be a common practice for “He who is born of God doth not sin”. While the fact remains that none of us are perfect, we are still called to holiness, and to flee from evil.

To walk in light and not in darkness; the forms of unrighteousness mentioned in Galatians 5:19-21, 1 Timothy 1:9-10, Ephesians 5:3-5, shall not inherit the kingdom of God and belong to the children of disobedience. Those acts are darkness. “cleanse thou me from secret faults”
” is something we should all be asking God because “who can understand his errors”. This is something that should be done daily. “Seek the Lord and his strength”, as hid treasure, seek God and his righteousness. To be more like our Lord “grace by grace” means just that, asking God to help us with our weaknesses, our problems, “Casting all your care upon him“; focusing and living in the word, letting the principles of God’s word guide us in our life, letting his word become part of us.

“The living word” and its truth is “quick and powerful, and sharper then any two edged sword piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”, now how much more can the word pierce the conscience and the mind condemning it and expose sins within a person’s life. Diligence is the key, persistence and perusing the truth every day to abide in liberty and avoid the bondage of this world. “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness” has given us the light in his word. We cannot just sit on the truth, but act on it and let it be part of our lives. The time is now, Romans 13:12) The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
