7 Let the wicked forsake his way
and the evil man his thoughts.
Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon.
8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
declares the LORD.
9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Ever think that the reason His ways are not like ours is because He will have mercy and He will freely pardon.

No He is not like us.

It's obvious that his ways are so much above ours. We are evil and wicked. That interpretation you added is something I haven't considered and will now. The WORD has so many meanings.

Don't you think that "for" means "because" in verse 7.

His ways are not our ways...

"the Perfect example of that"... is the Cross....

Jewish nation looking for a valiant and conquering Saviour.. one that would take them out of the Roman bondage... instead.. a Suffering Servant who was put to death on a bloody tree...

Did He conquer? yes... conquered Death, Hell and the Grave...

Was He valiant? oh yes.. in the spiritual realm.. He made an 'open show' of His spiritual enemies..

and when He returns again.. He will retun in Power and Glory.. on the clouds of Heaven.. with His saints and the Armies of Heaven..

1 Corinthians 2:16
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

We should be able to understand what God is telling us in our day to day walk, how else can we have a relationship with him and know his plans for our lives...we can't do that if we don't know his ways...
