Galatians. Shows me how foolish I was for believing the rules got me to heaven or made God like me.

The gospel of John because it really lays out what Jesus came to do . . .

and . . .

Romans because Paul really goes into great explanation of the flesh contrasted with the Spirit . . .

Gospel of John for me, although Philippians is a close second because of the joy, as Esperanza says.

1 John (and possibly the Gospel of John; it's hard for me to make up my mind between the two, but I'll stick with 1 John)

Thank you, all, for your replies!

My favorite book in the New Testament is the Book of Romans because in that book we have the most detailed presentation of the Christian message that is found anywhere in the Bible.

Of Paul's books -- Romans

Because it is complex with many interesting concepts concerning salvation and the Jewish/Gentile relationship.

James -- For its practical knowledge of how to live in righteousness.

God bless you,

I agree with most everyone in this thread. My favorite would be Romans followed by Acts and the two letters to Corinth.
