Isaiah 40:11 (New King James Version)

11] He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, And carry them in His bosom, And gently lead those who are with young.

The Gentleness Of The Good Shepherd

Can you picture this scene? "He will feed His flock like a shepherd, He will gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young." The Good Shepherd reaches down to our level, picks us up and envelops us in a warm and loving hug! Psalm 23:1 adds that when the Lord is our Shepherd, we shall not want. If we stray, He gently brings us back. If we hurt, He takes the pain on Himself. If we are lonely, he will come sup with us. If we are grief stricken, His tears will mingle with our own. He is my Shepherd, He knows how to satisfy my needs.

FOR TODAY: Can you imagine being held in our Lord's arms and wanting anything else in this whole wide world?

Very lovely!

I love the fact that He carries us in His bosom. Right next to His heart that beats with such incredible love and affection for us

He can also hear our cries when we are so close to Him
