Proverbs 10:16) The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.

Proverbs 10:17) He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.

How many stop their ears at the reproof of the word? Not wanting to hear it or do it when it is not convenient? Romans 12:2) “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” The world winks at lying, at wrong doing, and at iniquity in all its forms and aren’t we instructed to think different, apart from the world. If the world does that which is not right, shall we do the same, nay. This is something that sadly is not emphasized in today’s teaching style. People have let the world into the church and have erred from the reproof and sound instructions of righteousness written in the text, the word of God. Matthew 7:22-23) “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” The saddest thing is when people don’t know that they don’t know (2 Corinthians 4:4) “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds” and has tricked many into believing everything but the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but truth. Any fairy tale or loosed idea is what many lay their ears on but on what foundation are they, did they build their house on sand? As Christians knowing that (Hebrews 4:14) “we have a great high priest who has gone to heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us live our lives consistent with our confession of faith.” Listen to and prospering by the hand of God to uphold us.

This world is venom. Want opposite, Isaiah 5:20) “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” The world thrives off of and fuels off of everything opposite the gospel. Christ says (Luke 6:24) “woe unto you that are rich” but the world thrives and greeds for money, Christ says (Matthew 6:34) “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” and the world says plan ahead meaning that it is driven toward future and hypothetical, Christ says (Matthew 6:31) “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?” but the world says and talks about food, clothing, and everything else of the carnal or non-spiritual basis. Christ says (Matthew 6:33) “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness” but the world will drive a person to everything opposite and everything that will lead to destruction and starvation of the soul. This is the sad condition of the world and how poor is its spiritual state! If the church be practically dead, (Revelation 3:1) “that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead” and is warned to Revelation 3:2) “Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die” How poorly is the world fairing. It is a battlefield, the unseen war that is killing people by the millions even billions spiritually speaking! No wonder Paul said (Ephesians 6:12-13) “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” This world is full of rebellion and how costly is it to not heed instruction, especially that which comes from above, from the Almighty.
