I really loathe the use of this word. I hear it thrown around in every day life, even by some Christians:(

It is ludicrous to think that things will magically sort itself out. If people really got what we deserved, then we would all be going to hell. No one would even be successful at anything.

yeah, i hear ya. its in that neighborhood of the whole buddhist/new age cult beliefs of "man is God"...which btw, was man's first believed lie in the garden of eden.

ill tell you the word i cant stand: INTERFAITH

i.e. - all religions are not just tolerable, but right...everyone takes different paths to the same place, blah, blah, blah...

if you guys hear ANYONE promote interfaith, RUN. that person is a false prophet. can you imagine Peter calling islam beautiful, or Paul commending the followers of dalai lama for being strong in there faith???

(John 14:6) [And Jesus saith unto him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."]

all roads, aye? mr. interfaith will make his wrong turn at albuquerque.

There is this young man at a Pic Quick I go to alot that must believe in this karma stuff as he always makes some sort of comment suggesting things like that. Like things will go wrong for him and he will say things are balancing out...just odd things like that. At first I wasn't real sure what he was talking about..I was thinking more of the ying yang thing that is taught in Eastern religions...good and bad balancing out.

But you are right...if things were truly 'fair' and 'balanced' alot of us would be in serious trouble just in this life!

God bless

Karma?

More like,

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

Amen! I was wondering yesterday why some professional athletes with millions go bankrupt and was wondering why a large casino chain filed for bankruptcy. My buddy reminded me that they don't give to the church and to look at what they perpetuate.

God is the perfect judge.

Yepper!!!

the concept is very real - so real it could not be ignored by "other" religions. Call it a different name, it's all reaping and sowing.

What about karma compared to Matthew 15 : 11 ?

Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man

I like the bumper sticker "My Karma Ran Over Your Dogma". Totally unscriptural but cute.

I understand how some use the term, "karma", but to me, it truly is the "Do unto others" principle that even the heathens have to acknowledge.

Funny subject karma, I had a debate with a "christian" about karma and she said karma was real and I said Gods Grace supercedes karma and she said no, So I had shared some scripture with her and she still denied it, so I said you keep your karma and I'll keep Gods Grace.

Why is it cute when they are claiming that hinduism is the truth over Christianity?

Whenever I have spoken to people about "karma". I have used the verse found at Hebrews 10:30, adding that God is the just Judge.

For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The LORD will judge His people.”

I put 'karma' and 'luck' in the same category.. if you have read my posts before.. I fimly believe that its earthly and devilish...

The God of Abraham Issac and Jacob is in control at all times.. there is nothing that happens without Him knowing about it.. whether 'good' or 'bad'.. He is Sovereign.. and in CONTROL..

I strongly believe that using karma and luck is placing God as a God who just rolls the dice.. throws abunch of darts in the air.. 'hoping' they'll land where they do... and fulfill His Will..

thats Not God.. He is in Control at all Times.. and 'knows' the beginning from the end..

He doesn't need or use karma or luck to operate...

HE'S BIGGER THAN THAT...

one must realize that there are two kingdoms that are in conflict on this earth... the one darkness and its prince and those who are Walking in the Light... the good seed.. the children of the Kingdom..

those who walk in the Light will understand that 'karma' is just a word used to make the kingdom of darkness more alluring and facinating.. without them even knowing that they are walking in darkness.. how subtle..

Is it really a result of not giving to God, or is it bad money management and bankruptcy due to tough economic times?
