Nogal interessant as mens Eseg.

A WAR TO COME

http://www.wnd.com/images/salus0906262.jpg

18 November 2012

Shalom dear Friends and Family,

As we all are eagerly watching the events that is unfolding in the Middle East, we are mindful of the Times we are living in and the Prophetic implications they might have.

Today Hamas fired more than 100 Rockets into Israel.

Israel also had to respond twice into Syria after heavy firing into Israel from the Syrian side up to date.

War on two fronts now seems inevitable.
Public opinion has it that a 90% chance is there that Israel would have to take action against Iran in the next 12 months.

We interpret that escalation into another war found in Ezekiel 38. (But this is a study for another time)
The events as it is now unfolding could very well develop in a full blown war that could possibly lead to the Psalm 83/Isaiah 17 war.
As we are talking a lot about the Psalm 83 and Isaiah 17 war that we foresee as next on the Prophetic calendar of the Bible, there are still friends who do not have a clue of what we are talking about.

Herewith an article that will try and address the issue:
________________________________________

Prophetic look at what’s happening in the Middle-East, Israel and Gaza right now.
(Dated 17 November 2012)
As we are aware of the rising tension in the Middle East and the recent escalation of tension between Israel and Hamas, the question arises of how all of this ties in with Bible Prophecy?

Before we jump into addressing the current Gaza events, let us step a bit back and get a bird’s eye view of the events that led up until now.

I am sure that we are all aware of the Arab Spring and how it has swept over Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Bahrain, etc. and has shown no sign of ending as it still boils in Syria. Jordan had a simmering of it the last two years but events of the past few days show it also boiling over. Although it is debatable if the Arab Spring will truly bring liberty to its campaigners, we know that the void left in these governments are swiftly targeted by the Iranian backed Muslim Brotherhood which in the end spells no good news for the Jewish State. These events tie in with the Bible as it makes mention of a similar stirring of waters among various nations which will eventually swell up against Israel:

Isaiah 17:12-14 12 Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! 13 The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. 14 And behold at eveningtide trouble (for Israel); and before the morning he (the enemies) is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.

The passage quoted above is from the same chapter describing the total destruction of Damascus and the downfall of Syria:

Isaiah 17:1-3 1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. 2 The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid. 3 The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts.
Note that Damascus is the world’s oldest continually inhabited city and it has never been destroyed to this day. So the above passages from Isaiah 17 clearly talks of a future prophetic event.

Although Damascus and Syria is clearly mentioned in Isaiah 17, the passage indicates that other nations will be included in the rushing against Israel and will share a similar fate as Syria. Interestingly Psalm 83 contains various parallels and share similar symbology as used in Isaiah 17:12-14. Psalm 83 contains a prophetic plea to God to save Israel from it surrounding enemy nations, which conspiring to annihilate Israel and take the land as spoil:

Psalms 83:1-5 1 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. 2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. 3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. 4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. 5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

Psalms 83:6-11 then continue to mention the nations that will be involved:

Name in Psalm 83 Modern Equivalent
Edom South Jordan, Ethnic group within the Palestinians
Ishmaelites South Eastern Saudi Arabia
Moab Central Jordan, Ethnic group within the Palestinians
Hagarenes Egyptians
Gebal North Lebanon
Ammon North Jordan, Ethnic group within the Palestinians
Amalek Sinai
Philistines Ethnic group within the Palestinians
Tyre South Lebanon
Assur/Assyria Syria and Northern Iraq

Note that these nations all border Israel and surround the whole of Israel.
Psalm 83 ends with a plea to God to defeat the enemies that come against His land and His people:

Psalms 83:12-18 12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession. 13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind. 14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire; 15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. 16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD. 17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish: 18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
Interestingly in the future Ezekiel 38 Israeli war no nation that is bordering Israel is mentioned, only nations adjacent to the nations mentioned above, like Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Libya and Sudan. The passage also indicates that Israel will live in peace and calm without walled villages and with no need of iron gates for protection. The only logical conclusion that can be drawn is that Israel’s neighbours are destroyed or severely crippled to be so insignificant in this future war.

To summarise Isaiah 17 and Psalm 83: There will be stirring amongst various nations. This stirring will initially cause the nations to align themselves, then to conspire against Israel and eventual to try and destroy Israel with catastrophic results for them.

1. There will be stirring amongst various nations and cause the nations to come together.

The Arab Spring has led to an alignment if the nations involved under a radical Muslim Brotherhood banner. The supreme guide of the Muslim Brotherhood Sheikh Mohammed Badie, from which Egypt's President Mohamed Morsi emanated, called for a jihad (holy war) to liberate Jerusalem from Israeli rule. Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi carried the same message and said “Our capital shall not be Cairo, Mecca or Medina. It shall be Jerusalem!” and voiced his full support of Hamas and the Palestinians struggle against Israel. The tight control of goods released to Gaza via the Rafah Crossing from Egypt has also been deliberately slackened since the regime change which led to the increased and improved arsenal of rockets fired into Israel.

Abu Sharif, an Islamic Jihad official, recently told Iran that a popular uprising in Jordan would break the last part of Israel's "security chain”. It come as no surprise that the Muslim Brotherhood is again involved in the uprisings in Jordan. Although the masses they rally perceive the revolts as a means to reform and freedom, the ultimate goal is to severe Jordanian ties with Israel. And the final goal is to use Jordan as a yet another springboard to attack Israel.

In Syria the picture looks no brighter. Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak on Wednesday announced that “Syrian rebels have taken control of nearly all villages near the frontier with the Israel-held Golan Heights”. Fighting in Golan area this past week has already drawn Israeli retaliatory fire into Syria twice after apparently stray mortar shells was fired by rebel forces into Israel-held territory.

Although Lebanon was not really influenced by the Arab Spring, it had its own internal Arab Revolution from 2006-2008 led by Hezbollah against the US and Saudi-backed government of Prime Minister Fouad Siniora. A new national unity government was formed in 2008, giving Hezbollah and its allies control of eleven of thirty cabinets seats; effectively veto power. Hezbollah receives military training, weapons, and financial support from Iran, and political support from Syria. Hezbollah consider Israel to be an illegitimate state and its manifesto state that "our struggle will end only when this entity [Israel] is obliterated".

2. As these nations align themselves they will start to conspire against Israel.

As already mentioned Libya, Egypt, Gaza and Lebanon have seen their governments replaced with the Muslim Brotherhood or terrorist organizations all aligned with Iran and obsessed with the annihilation of Israel as their primary goal.
In Syria the revolution is still on-going but the Golan Height region has already been annexed by Syrian Rebel Fighters and used as platform to fire mortar shells into Israel.

Jordan also started to experience heavy protest the past few days and have come under the focus of the Muslim Brotherhood to use the nation as yet another springboard to attack Israel. Jihadist sees Jordan as the last state that needs to be captured to leave Israel surrounded by enemies with a common principle of annihilating Israel.

The nations surrounding Israel has always had an awkward stance towards her and all at some stage tried to annihilation the Jewish State. But differing political and ethnic views has always caused division amongst these nations. These nations have always acted autonomous with respect to Israel and with interest of its own people. The picture has however changed with these governments replaced with terror organizations that are fully aligned, integrated and controlled by the radical Iran with a common goal. The goal is no longer to serve the people that elected them but the destruction of Israel.

3. The nations will eventual try to destroy Israel which will result and their annihilation.

Isaiah 17:14 And behold at eveningtide trouble (for Israel); and before the morning he (the enemies) is not.
Isaiah indicates that the war between Israel and the enemy nations coming against it will be very short. In the evening time Israel will be troubled and in the morning the enemies will be destroyed.

For such a quick war there need to be a trigger that will spark the nations to attack Israel simultaneously and forcefully.
In the last few days we have seen the rapid escalation of rocket attacks on Israel by Hamas from Gaza and Israel’s determined retaliation. The escalation has shown no signs of abating as more rockets are fired deeper into Israel every day.

The Israeli government has authorized the call up of 75,000 reservists prior to a possible ground incursion on Gaza. Tanks and troops have also been deployed in the south of Israel in preparation for this possible ground offensive.

On Friday various nations and parties tried to reach a cease fire between Israel and Hamas but Hamas indicated that they would not consider a cease fire at the time. Taking into account the unanimous support for Hamas and Gaza from the Arab League and its condemnation of Israel for their counter-attacks in an attempt to defend themselves, it does not seem that the conflict will be resolved soon.

If the current escalations of event are left unchecked it can very well have the impetus that will drive the surrounding nations in an all-out attack against Israel as sketched in Psalm 83 and Isaiah 17. Only time will tell. What we can say with certainty is if the Hamas rocket attacks are not halted in the coming days, that we will see a strong Israeli response that will further bond the surrounding nations in their united hatred of the land and the people of God and bring the Psalm 83 war even closer.

As the Middle East is hurtling toward the Psalm 83 war we are eagerly awaiting soon coming of the Messiah for His bride.
