View Full Version : What is next on God's agenda?

Do you ever wonder what is next on His agenda for us?

Out of the land of our strength into the land of His. Out of the bondage of grinding corn for the enemy and instead inheriting the promises of God where every step we take is ours.

Our God is about to sanctify His great name that we have blasphemed wherever we have gone (Ezekiel 36), and He will wipe away our thoughts of doubt, despair and defeat and replace them with a supernatural assurance, a quiet confidence in Him to do exactly what He promised to do in us, to cause us to walk as holy seed, to be light in the Lord, sanctified and meet for the master's use, preserved blameless unto the coming of the Lord. As God has told us:

"Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there"

Isaiah 35:3-9

We do not have to be smart, nor strong. Perhaps that has even contributed to our sad state. The victory God longs to give us is His victory, not one we work to attain. We are planted in it and told to stand. That is all. That is enough. Our confidence wil be in Him alone and He alone will get the glory.

We are about to see our God roll up His sleeves and show Himself strong on our behalf. No more will our walks be three steps forward two steps back, and sin and defeat be our constant nemesis taunting us with its power over our hearts.

Salvation is of the Lord, but how we have tried to make it our work, not His. How we have mistakenly assumed that we are to be the potter in our transformation into sons and daughter of glory and ignored and spurned the power of godliness in favor of human effort. Those days are drawing to a close.

We are to be His workmanship and shine forth as lights to a perverse and dark generation that has no light and needs it desperately. We have tried to master our own flesh and failed miserably. Now it is God's turn. Will we trust Him to do what He has clearly promised?

The full weight of the truth of "Not by might, not by power, but by my spirit, sayeth the Lord" is about to dawn on our wearied hearts. Salvation from our enemy is God's work, not ours.

"I shall yet be inquired of by the House of Israel to do it for them."
Ezekiel 36:37
