1. We don't know who wrote the book of Hebrews. Evidence in the book suggests that it was not Paul.

Btw, what evidences are there that Hebrews was not written by Paul? Just curious.

Hebrews 2.3 shows that the author was not a first-hand hearer of Christ speak. Paul, on the other hand, insists that he was (see: Galatians 1.12; 1 Corinthians 11.23; 15.8). The mannerisms of the author are somewhat similar to Paul, and he also knows Timothy (13.23). However, the book of Hebrews consistently quotes from the Septuagint (Greek translation of the Old Testament), whereas Paul consistently quotes from the Tanakh (Hebrew original of the Old Testament). So the most precise we can come to is that the author was not Paul, was not Timothy, but probably was taught by them, or taught with them.
