I would like to poll the folks here to see what are your thoughts regarding God knowing what you think before you speak. Does God know what you are thinking?

Hebrews 4:12 says that the word of God is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. So it would appear that based on scripture there is nothing hidden from God. Confirmed in vs 13.

The Psalms also speak of the inability of man to hide from God. Psalms 139.

Yes is the correct answer.

For the cause of Christ

Yes, without a doubt. Here are a few examples of why I believe this to be true.

Psa 139:1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. O LORD, you have searched me and known me!
Psa 139:2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.
Psa 139:3 You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.
Psa 139:4 Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O LORD, you know it altogether. -ESV

1Ch 28:9 "And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever. -ESV

Psa 44:20 If we had forgotten the name of our God or spread out our hands to a foreign god,
Psa 44:21 would not God discover this? For he knows the secrets of the heart. -ESV

Mat 9:3 And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, "This man is blaspheming."
Mat 9:4 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts? -ESV

Well, considering that there is NOTHIING that God does not know, I would say yes, without question. If He knows your heart, He certainly knows your thoughts.

Yup. There are many examples when Christ was here...

"But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts" - Mat 9:4

"The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile." - 1 Cor 3:20

The whole bible is absolutely full of stories about a God making man's deepest secret desire come true.

frustrations ending, children being given...lives made whole...the lame walking, the blind seeing...those who feel hopeless to be able to ever be good enough to be loved by God....the Good news that God most definately specifically loves them.

Blessed are the pure/holy of heart...for they shall see God.

Yes, and I believe he can guide your thoughts....Look at the story of the exodus for an example. He led pharaoh’s heart at will.
