...but he can NEVER change your identity in Christ.

Think of the labels - hard worker, good man, devoted and deserving wife, humble (really?), beautiful eyes, fancy artist, talented musician, important businessman, too busy to return phone calls on time because you're that interesting, good prayer, heartfelt worshiper, convicting pastor, nice young lady...what are you, really?

Those people are not who you are.

Lazy, discouraged, annoying, no one likes you, always a cling-on, creeper, stiff-necked, hurtful, inconsiderate, loud, shameful, show-off during worship, proud, boastful, weak.

Is this how you feel? Those people are not who you are.

He may try to con you into thinking you're something that you're not. He may try to steal your joy and rob you of your peace in quiet worship with God. He may get people to tell you you're not worth anything...

...but he's not fooling God. God knows who you are. God owns you. Satan can't touch you. You are loved and protected by God, you are His child, and nothing can steal that.

You may think that a relationship will heal you, or a job will make you feel better about yourself, or a social status will help improve your worth. You may believe that a diet plan will make others think you are attractive, you may feel that your prayers must be beautiful in order to be heard, and you may think that those in your prayer circle are secretly judging your prayers...

Those people are not who you are.

...and you can't change your identity. No matter what you look like, how you pray, or what you do, God knows who you are. You are beloved and protected. I didn't say you deserve that. I said that God does it anyways, because of your identity. Your identity in Christ which was formed out of God's tender mercies and the faith He gave you to believe He is everything you need. Now and always.

You might have lost out on that job promotion. Your boyfriend may have dumped you. Your girlfriend may have said she's sick of you. That's not who you are.

You might walk into a crowd and get stared at. You might tell a joke that falls to the floor. You walk away feeling ashamed or embarrassed. That's not who you are.

God knows who you are. You are beloved and protected. I didn't say you deserve that. I said that God does it anyways, because of His tender mercies and the faith He gave you to believe He is everything you will ever need. Now and forever.

Your identity is not yours, it is hid with God, hid with God. HID with God in Christ. No one can steal that. No situation, no matter how dire; no person no matter how "politically correct" they seem in their judgment of you; no severed relationship or ugly broken tie can ever, EVER, EVER steal that from you. It is not yours. Not anymore. It is hidden with God in Christ. He's got this. No one can snatch you out of the Father's hand. Your identity is hid, HID with God in Christ. You're covered. By the most eternal and foolproof seal of all time. The blood of Christ. No one can steal that from you.

Oh my GOODNESS please MEDITATE on these verses!!!

They are so precious, they are speaking so loud, and will hit someone like a tidal wave - this is FOR YOU.

Colossians 3:1-3, written FOR YOU :

1Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above (faith, hope, your testimony, God's faithfulness, your identity in Christ, His sacrifice, His love for you, your sonship with God!), where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above (faith, hope, your testimony, God's faithfulness, your identity in Christ, etc!!!), not on earthly things (offense, people hurting you, discouragement, doubt, worry, fear). 3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. (What was that?) 3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. (What was that?) 3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. (SO....)4When Christ, who is your[a (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Colossians+3&version=NIV#fen-NIV-29506a)] life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. (YES AND AMEN!)

Brother or sister, this is for you. God wanted you to hear this tonight. May God BLESS you and KEEP your precious heart from stumbling. May He reaffirm you in His glory of who He made you to be - precious and perfect in His sight! YES! :pp

One of Satan's favorite labels is hypocrite. The devil loves using atheists to slap us with it.
