Christians are in Christ in the above yet it is Christ and Christ only who is the new creation. We are presently in him but not yet like him.

Speaking of Jesus the Christ: And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all he might have the preeminence. Col 1:18

Presently He and He alone in the firstborn from the dead, the only so born, however when we are born from the dead in his image then he will be the firstborn of many brethren. It is those who are in Christ that will be born again.
Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

The original was the first man Adam who was the type/figure of Him to come, the resurrected last Adam Jesus the Christ a quickening spirit.

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?
Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing not put under him. Hebrews 2:6,7,8,

What man do you believe this was written of? The man that walked in the footsteps of the first man Adam?

But now we see not yet all things put under him. (The original) Fifty years or more after the resurrection of Christ still not put under man. Why??? Man in the original even though he is in Christ isn't yet fit for it, he hasn't been born again.

But we see Jesus, verse 9 who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, (came like the original man) crowned with glory and honour; (the firstborn from the dead) that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1 John 3:9 Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. John 3:7

We are in Christ and have been begotten of God but not yet born of God in the image of his dear Son.

Are there no thoughts on my thoughts on 2 Cor 5:17? Is Jesus the Christ a new creation of man by resurrection from the dead or not?

Was it the first man Adam and his sons and daughters created in the image of God that all things were put under or was he just the type of him to come who would die and be resurrected as a new creation of mankind in who's image we shall be to which all things were put under?
