God's Vision For the Last-Day Church!
by David Wilkerson | May 23, 1994
[May 19, 1931 – April 27, 2011]

I want to share with you what I believe is God's vision for His last-day church. It is a vision based on the revealed Word of God -- because the Bible clearly outlines what the church of Jesus Christ will be like just prior to His coming.

Certainly, the church in America is far from what God has envisioned it to be. In fact, most of what we see going on today in the name of Christ is an abomination. Yet, there are remnant churches scattered throughout this nation and around the world that live up to God's holy standards. They lead holy lives, preach righteousness, believe in super natural works. These churches are alive, full of the Spirit of God, and are impacting lives and entire communities for Jesus.

But, for the most part, entire denominations today operate without the Holy Spirit. They are devoid of the presence of Jesus, bankrupt of all spiritual gifts. They practice a form of religion without any power, conviction or saving message. They are cozy with the world and are more political than spiritual. They appease sin -- coddling homosexuals, winking at divorce, ridiculing the supernatural, tossing aside all teachings about heaven, hell, repentance and judgment.

Such churches wonder if God is even alive. They are so cold, weak and timid, the world scoffs at them! They have no influence, no respect, no impact on society whatsoever.

But the New Testament church made devils tremble! It drove legions of demons into the abyss, prayed prison doors open, made rulers cringe in fear. No weapon could prosper against it! Those early believers had such faith and power that cripples rose up leaping, beggars became evangelists. They believed in the supernatural -- and they opened blind eyes, unstopped deaf ears and healed all manner of diseases. They even raised the dead!

I am not saying God's last-day church will be a repeat or copy of the first- century church. No -- I am saying it will be even greater than that! It will be mightier, stronger, with an even greater revelation of Jesus. It will have a greater unction from the Spirit than ever -- greater even than at Pentecost! God always saves His best wine for last!

The prophet Daniel confirms this. He said certain prophetic truths were locked up, only to be revealed in the last days:

"...for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end....and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand" (Daniel 12:9-10 ).

God's people are going to begin to understand "new things in his Word!" These things are already in the Bible; they simply haven't been revealed in fullness. And Daniel said he saw these things but couldn't understand them, even with all his divine wisdom: "And I heard, but I understood not..." (verse 8).

But today the Holy Spirit has revealed these things to spiritual, discerning saints!

"...as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God" (1 Corinthians 2:9-10).

The Holy Ghost abides in us to reveal these hidden things to us!

Right now the Lord is preparing a powerful yet humble army of shepherds after His own heart. And He also is preparing a remnant congregation of hungry sheep who have turned away from the deadness and sin of the modern church establishment. The scene is being set for that church against which the gates of hell shall not prevail. It will be hot, not lukewarm -- and it will rock the very foundations of hell. No power on earth will be able to ignore or despise it!

Dit is egter nie so nie. Hier is een so 'n webblad:

“The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap...the nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters; but God shall rebuke them and they shall flee far off...and behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us”
(Isaiah 17:1, 13-14).

Even though this is a harsh prophecy given for the capital of Syria to the prophet Isaiah, God is the rock of Israel’s strength! Even if armies thunder down upon this special nation, God will silence them. Their terror may come in the night but before the morning hours, her enemies are defeated. NO ONE desires to even think why Damascus is severely punished; however, with the latest news in our headlines in The Times of Israel on December 11 and December 24th, the reports that we are monitoring suggest that it is a dangerous time for Israel and we need the mighty warriors of faith through prayer in the Christian friends of Israel world around the globe to mobilize in numbers to intercede for Israel at this time. It is reported “Rebel forces in Syria claimed that regime forces used chemical weapons in an attack on Homs, Sunday, killing six people and injuring dozens more with poison gas...10 people suffered serious injuries...including blindness and paralysis...” (The Times of Israel, Monday, December 24, 2012). Of course this has raised concerns in the international community as well as here in Israel. Syria has a large cache of chemical weapons that could be used against the rebels. Israel is watching the situation closely amid growing concern over the Syrian nerve gas. “The IDF has acquired tens of thousands of doses of a drug used to combat nerve agent chemical poisoning and will distribute to all medics with atropine, a drug that counters attacks on the respiratory system...” (The Times of Israel, December 11, 2012). This was distributed only to rear echelon battalion medical centers. While the government is teetering in Syria, Israel has prepared. Even though doubt has been expressed that Assad would use the weapons against Israel and that no sign has appeared that it is a threat at the moment, Moshe Ayalon, Minister of Strategic Affairs and former IDF Chief of Staff, told Army Radio recently that “Syria has been armed for the last decades with chemical missiles and weapons, but our deterrent factor is stable and the proof is that they haven’t used them against us yet.” IDF medics were to begin receiving training on how and when to administer the new drug as part of their intensive 13 week combat medic course.

On December 8th The Times reported that two grim scenarios were likely if chemical weapons were unleashed – both carrying risks of civilian massacre and a major escalation of violence. News was confirmed by The Associated Press (in the Times article) reported that an unknown number of weapons in Syria which were recently loaded with the nerve agent sarin brought the West’s fears into sharp relief. Stockpiles of mustard gas and a range of nerve agents, could suffocate its victims by paralyzing muscles around the lungs and the central nervous system. The precise dimensions of Syria’s chemical weapons arsenal are not known, but Syria has been accumulating them for over 40 years since Assad’s father, President Hafez Assad, began stockpiling them.
This Emergency Alert should be forwarded all over the world for one reason: to raise up and mobilize Prayer Groups for Israel among her Christian friends around the globe to cover the nation of Israel should something ever happen. We stand with Israel and want to see her protected and kept safe. All should pray for the salvation of all deceived souls in the Arab world who follow militant Islam and believe that they have a mandate to wipe Israel “off the map” of civilization. We remind the world that the GOD OF ISRAEL IS MIGHTY! He will defend His Name! He will defend His People! For in the end, ALL GLORY must go to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob...His People must turn to HIM for safety and protection, all believers must trust in HIM to carry out His Word and we must act as a shield of prayer around this nation, for this is our duty and the debt we owe to the Jewish people. It is not a matter of taking sides...it is a matter of making the right decision to stand on the side of the Lord, to flow with His Promises in His Word (the Holy Scriptures) to carry out His Will for the nation of Israel and the nations (which one can easily see in God’s Word), and to be found faithful, watching and praying during any coming storms Israel will have to endure. Please forward this to others you know who love the nation of Israel and the Jewish people – forward it around the world and don’t forget to support those who are standing with Israel in the nation. See our website: http://www.cfijerusalem.org and mobilize prayer warriors using this prayer information and prayer points. May God bless each of you at this holiday time and do not forget the command (which is not a plea nor an option for us) to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee” (Psalm 122: 6). To prosper in Hebrew actually means to be favored with wholeness and well being in your soul and heart. Let us all be obedient to God’s command at this perilous and possibly unstable time in the Middle East.

Jerusalem Day - 8 May 2013

"The Lord has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling." (Psalm 132:13)

"Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad for her." (Isaiah 66:10)

Yom Yerushalayim: A Day to Praise the Lord!

The 46th anniversary of the liberation of Jerusalem.

Yom Yerushalayim is cause for everyone to rejoice!

On this day, during the Six Day War in 1967, in fulfillment of Bible prophecy, the whole of Jerusalem once again came under Jewish sovereignty. (Jeremiah 30:18; Amos 9:11)

http://staticapp.icpsc.com/icp/loadimage.php/mogile/261268/83c57ee7a44a8fd15252fae732d0e416/image/jpeg
Israelis fill the streets of Jerusalem to rejoice on Yom Yerushalayim.

The Holy City became divided between Israel and Jordan after Israel proclaimed its independence in 1948, and the Arab nations attacked Israel.

During the 1948 War of Independence, Jordan wrested control of the Old City and East Jerusalem where the First and Second Temples once stood.

Under Jordanian rule, the Jewish residents were forced to leave and many ancient synagogues were destroyed.

"The LORD will save the dwellings of Judah first, so that the honor of the house of David and of Jerusalem's inhabitants may not be greater than that of Judah." (Zechariah 12:7)

magnitude of the moment as they stand for the first
time in their young lives at the Western Wall in 1967.

After 1967's Six Day War, Jerusalem was, once again, under Jewish sovereignty for the first time in 2000 years!

The days before the war was a time of intense Arab hostility, with Syria, Egypt, Jordan and the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) threatening to completely destroy Israel.

While Syria, Egypt, Jordan and Iraq massed troops to attack Israel, Israel launched a pre-emptive strike and miraculously defeated the enemy in just six days.

Once again, Israel's capital, the city in which God chose to dwell, was in Jewish hands.

"You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance—the place, LORD, you made for your dwelling, the sanctuary, Lord, your hands established." (Exodus 15:17)

Jerusalem is central to end-time prophecy.

The Bible says that in the last days, the nations will come against Jerusalem. (Zechariah 12:3; Ezekiel 38-39)

Indeed, the stage seems to be set for this very thing to happen, as much of the world community would like to re-divide Jerusalem, giving the part that Jordan briefly controlled to the Palestinians.

We encourage all Believers to earnestly pray for the peace of Jerusalem this Yom Yerushalayim.

"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: 'May those who love you be secure.'"
