These are my thoughts, please share yours.

14 We are to bless people, this is what Christ did and He expects us to do it as well. It is not always easy to do but it shows Christ to those who show hate. God will judge we are not to do so but we are to forgive as we were forgiven. We should not curse anyone because this does not show the love of Christ and we are not to show His wrath because this is just for Him to do.

15 We should relate to people this will bring comfort and also could open a door to share the gospel, it will also show we care about them. It is often said a good mood or bad mood spreads but this is not saying we should get in a bad mood because of them but says we should be sad with them.We should be happy for good news of others.

16 We are not to be wise of ourselves but be wise through Him. He will lead us if we allow Him. We will know what we need to do when we need to do it if we stay close to Him by praying, reading the word and doing what He leads, this brings us close to Him and allows us to be close to Him.

James 4:6 ESV
But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

12:14 Bless - to speak well of. Prov 25:21-22 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee. To love our enemies is to be Christ-like and allows people to see Jesus in us. Remember that we are blessed of God when persecuted for His sake. Matt 5:10-12 Blessed (fortunate, well off) are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

12:15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice - When our brethren rejoice we should rejoice with them. Only selfishness, pride, and jealousy would keep us from it.

weep with them that weep - The sorrow of our brethren should be our sorrow. Gal 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another - Rom 12:3, We should view others every bit as important as ourselves. We must remember that all of us are important in God's plan. This is a key to unity. Ps 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Mind not high things - Don't try to be or act superior. 1 Cor 8:1-3 Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. And if any man think that he knoweth anything, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

condescend to men of low estate - Don't try to get into the good graces of the important, but enjoy the company of the common or ordinary. James 2:1-9 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called? If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

Be not wise in your own conceits - Never think you know it all. Gal 6:3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
