"'Now I hear that it is sheep-shearing time." (1 Samuel 25:7)

So, what time of the year was that? Any one know? :hmm:

I would imagine it would be the middle of spring when there was some assurance there would be no more chill in the air. Perhaps around Pentecost? But that's just a guess.

The shearers were big beer drinkers too. :very_drunk: Hmm, I wonder why Jesus didn't mention that in the good shepherd parable?

I live in UK. Here we shear our sheep in the summer, just before their wool would start to fall out (like a dog moulting). I assume the quote therefore means early summer.
