  • Another dream combined with more miracles

Another dream combined with more miracles

This is the sequence to my previous article "Miracles and a dream". I had another dream a few nights ago. It was about Charles and I taking a day's trip on the train. We went all the way down south to see as much of the country as possible. Train cards are available at local stores that are less expensive in the summer and fall. Two people can then travel across the whole country cheaper than the price of a single fair from the train station in winter or spring. I also dreamed that we we...

  • Miracles and a dream

    Miracles and a dream

Daddy gave me a dream. It was about the Pharisee and the man who smote his breast (Luke 18). He put me on the top of the Temple, and let me see them clearly. I asked questions and He answered me. It was so beautiful that I just enjoyed being up there. Daddy explained a lot to me and then I indulged those answers with hunger for more. I didn't understand why God gave me that opportunity until a few days later. While I was having a little argument with my husband, (happens in the best marriages too),...

  • How the Judges of Israel Overlapped

How the Judges of Israel Overlapped

The history of the Judges bridges the time from the Exodus to the Kingdom of Israel, however, when we sum up the rule of the Judges, a problem arises. Add them all up, plus the times of oppression such as the Midianite period of seven years, then tack on the forty years in the desert plus the reigns of Saul and David, and what do we get? 640! On face value, that's about 160 years longer than the Exodus to Solomon as stated in the official record of the Kings. (1 Kings 6:1) There is a reason. T...

    Two spirits, one space

When I moved to this area of Oregon from Southern California, I was keenly aware of the different "spirits" that were here. People are friendly but also people are into a lot of weird occult, lifestyle, and earth energy practices. The tree huggers shop at the same organic grocery stores that the Buddists shop at and the Amazonian mystism followers ride their bicycles on the same path as cannabis growers. In the yearly city celebration parade a more eclectic group of folks you will not see, from...

  • A time to pray

    A time to pray

Is it a time to pray?

Very often as I journey through the day I hear of groups that are setting up against the Christian faith, or I see other faiths doing things really well. This screams out at me. As a Christian church these things can be missing in our worship and life, and perhaps through highlighting other faiths. Is God is trying to compel us to act? Jesus prayed before he started his earthly ministry (before he was baptised), and before he was arrested to be crucified. ...

    A Girl named Hope

We met Hope soon after we sold a house in Alcoa, Tennessee and moved a few miles away, just outside the city limits of Maryville, Tennessee. Hope was a year younger than my daughter who was eleven years old. She rode the school bus with my children and lived three houses down from us on a street where a builder had built ten homes side by side on one side of the road. We all had about one and a half acres, mostly at the rear of our homes since the homes sat near the road and the lots were narrow,...

    Freedom

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. (Isaiah 55:6,7) The principles and concepts that under-gird promises such as quoted above echo across the pages of the Holy Bible from the first book, Genesis, to the final pages of Revelation. They reveal a Creator God who, despite being despi...

  • "My Time Of Sadness Became A Time Of Miracles"

"My Time Of Sadness Became A Time Of Miracles"

It was mid-November. Charles had been sick for a week or 2 and the people that come to our house to regulate his blood thinners couldn't get his blood thickness on the right level. It went from thick to thin in a day or 2, so they insisted that the family doctor would do something. Finally she came and got his blood tested for inflammation amongst other things. The next day we got a call from her that those (inflammation) numbers, which were allowed to be around 8, in his case were 172. She had...

Satan's prime target.....Israel, or the Church?

First, the following is a rather long article, but please be patient and give it your most serious and prayerful consideration.Your eternal destiny, and those of your families, may well depend on how you respond to the following. This said however, I am brakelite. I cannot change anyone's beliefs, let alone heart, such a miracle I leave in God's hands. All I ask is that you read this as you would when you 'read' a brakelite on the highway. Pause, consider your present course and speed, consider...

  • What is Being "Christlike?"

    What is Being "Christlike?"

Someone recently asked if remaining silent about things like homosexuality and atheism is not more "Christlike" than speaking out against them--just love them, and be silent about what is displeasing to God. In that regard, we might ask if Jesus Himself--the very embodiment of God's love--was silent about the dangers of hell. Did His message not declare eternal judgment the final estate of those failing to repent and seek after the kingdom of God? Did He not warn His hearers that they would perish...
