1. The purpose of the aions (Eph. 3:11 source text)

The five aions God has set to Himself to come to terms with creation.

1st aion. From creation till the casting down of the world (translated foundation wrongly). The casting down was the first cataclysmic event which involved water, that's why we see the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters in Gen. 1:2. This is called in 2 Pet. 3:6 the katakluzo of the world that then was.

2nd aion. From the seven days of restoration, till ...
  2. philosophy research

I'm doing research on the broad concept of philosophy.

I came across the concept of determinism.

If I understand it correctly, taken to the extreme, it is a complete denial of free will.

  4. This has long bothered me.

Many times, I've simply told various people (not necessarily people on this board) that I'm trying to do a Bible study and I get told "A head knowledge doesn't equal a heart knowledge.".

The last thing a person trying to do a Bible study needs is to get attacked like this for simply saying they're trying to do a Bible study.
  5. updates on that last one

I've started reading the King James Version of the Apocrypha.

Yes, there are King James Version Bibles with the Apocrypha in them.

From what I understand, the Apocrypha covers the Intertestamental Period.

I realize more and more that there is a lot I don't understand about the NEW Testament.

I'm trying to investigate accusations that many translations of the Bible are corrupt translations.
