    Pagan Holiday?

    Thread Starter: jessiejane

I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this but Im gonna give it a shot. I had a customer come in just now and when I asked her if she was ready for Christmas and she stated "I do not celebrate" I am pretty sure she is a believer. I had...

Why the Spirit is given to Jesus?

    Thread Starter: randyk

Acts 2.33 Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. Do you have an explanation as to why God the Father gave Jesus the "promised Holy Spirit" after he...

    Re-examining the Millennial Kingdom

    Thread Starter: Trivalee

It has occurred to me that the concept and makeup of the Millennial Kingdom require a closer look. Matters arising from another OP has forced me to really question what the Millennium entails, it's composition, etc. Generally, we all accept that it...

What and when is the thousand years?

    Thread Starter: marty fox

This is a study I did a few years ago it looks longer than it is Introduction There is a popular belief within the church that Christians in the future will reign with Jesus for 1000 years of peace upon the earth because satan is bound. Is this...

    The Grreat Commission warning

    Thread Starter: randyk

Following is a portion of the Olivet Discourse from the 3 synoptic gospels, Matthew, Mark, and Luke. They refer to the proclamation of Christ's Gospel, which at that time had been limited to Israel. But now it apparently was to go out to the whole...

    Notice to everyone

Several hours ago, I got word that one of my cousins has died of a fatal heart attack. I'm waiting for more information right now. I'm in shock right now, but honestly not especially surprised.

  • Miracles and a dream

Daddy gave me a dream. It was about the Pharisee and the man who smote his breast (Luke 18). He put me on the top of the Temple, and let me see them clearly. I asked questions and He answered me. It was so beautiful that I just enjoyed being up there. Daddy explained a lot to me and then I indulged those answers with hunger for more. I didn't understand why God gave me that opportunity until a few days later. While I was having a little argument with my husband, (happens in the best marriages too), it dawned on me that my problem is my ego. I had too much Pharisee in me and too little of that humble man. I repented immediately and humbled myself before Daddy and my husband. Since then I'm more humble and miracles have started to happen again.

The first miracle was that even though I still need painkillers (and probably always will), the pain goes away regularly. My body also functions better like it did before. We even managed to take a little road-trip for an errand, which we normally do with the taxi-bus. It was beautiful weather and we both enjoyed it very much! It was also possible because my bladder pains are most days minimal. I drink fruit-shakes and apple/carrot shakes and that seems to help my bladder. I drink more water and I secretly started with simple leg exercises that you can do sitting down in the wheelchair.

The second miracle was that I was able to sit in my "non-electric" wheelchair, in which I can go through the house. I especially like to sit in the kitchen near my husband, so that I can help him cut up vegetables. I am finally able to handle knives again!

The third and most beautiful miracle of all, is that I can walk again! I started with a walker for a few days, then holding unto Charles and now I can walk by myself! I can only walk very small distances. We are not planning on doing that outside because it's too dangerous. I can't stand up for longer than half a minute before I fall, so then it wouldn't work in a shop. But it's such a freedom that I can go to the fridge and get my own drink! Or pick out my own clothes from my closet! The only place Charles refuses to let me walk alone is in the shower with the adjusted toilet in it. He does not trust that floor, so he rather wants to be with me. If I sit in the normal wheelchair then he allows me to go alone, but not if I am walking. Now that I can walk, we moved the bed for Assisted Living out of the living room into the bedroom. This creates so much more space. I am so happy that I don't have to hang in an elevator anymore for transfers! I could go on forever about the freedom I have been given by Daddy, but that probably would make this article way too long....

What I have learned from previous miracles, is that I definitely have to remind myself to stay focused in the Word. We're currently studying Luke, about 2 chapters a night and I sometimes do a devotional. I plan to do a solo "go through the Bible in one year-plan". Charles will probably get involved because I don't understand it all. It will be good to do some studying on my own as well. I am going to keep eating healthy which will include shakes, lunch and supper. Another goal is to lose some weight, which comes naturally through healthier food and moving more. We found a recipe online to make our own protein powder, so Charles is going to do that tomorrow. It will help me with my muscles and exercising. I am really excited about all of this but in the mean time I will do my very best to stay humble, with the help of Daddy and Charles. Sometimes my ego gets the best of me. I then receive correction, repent and start over.

I am intensely grateful for these miracles. Finally I am at the point where I can be happy again, in spite of missing mama. I'm sure she smiles from Heaven seeing what is happening to me!

Thank you for sharing this, Mieke. We need to be thankful for every little joy we receive, and give praise for it. Just imagine: one day in the New Jerusalem, we will all have brand new, incorruptible bodies that will never grow old, feel pain, get sick, or die. I can hardly wait!
