First he was s@domized in childhood by a male relative. Then he spent time in the military and came home with PTSD. Married, but yet addicted to pornography. In pain.

He needed help desperately. He decided to become a woman. That didn't ease any pain. Then he decided to be the world's first non-binary person [both man and woman]. Not he. Not she. They.

After realizing what he needed was HELP, he decided to live as he was born - a man.

This is a very much needed read in my opinion. He's right. The medical community and other communities are too frightened of the tr@nsgender and LGBT.... communities to tell them that what they need is help, not surgery. Not acceptance of a lifestyle that makes no sense philosophically, scientifically, spiritually, or physically.

I watched an interview years ago on the Independent channel [back when it was free] with a model who was living a she-m@le life. "She" was wildly popular and yet seemed so sad. I heard "her" say with my own ears that "I am mentally ill".

Also, on that same series was a man who endured the entire sex-change operation and he declared himself to be mentally ill and in need of help.

We need to pray for health care professionals and families to speak up, stand up in love, and confront in peace those who are in need of heart and mind health. These people who wish a "change" are hurting terrible and we as Christians should NEVER, EVER mock, scorn, belittle, or hate them. They need Jesus and they need help. Not surgery. Not hormones. Not applause.

Quote:

Church leaders in Nigeria have said that Christians are experiencing "pure genocide" as 6,000 people, mostly women and children, have been murdered by Fulani radicals since January."What is happening in Plateau state and other select states in Nigeria is pure genocide and must be stopped immediately," said the Christian Association of Nigeria and church denominational heads in Plateau State in a press release last week.
The church leaders said that "over 6,000 persons, mostly children, women and the aged have been maimed and killed in night raids by armed Fulani herdsmen," which is prompting their cry to the government of Nigeria "to stop this senseless and blood shedding in the land and avoid a state of complete anarchy where the people are forced to defend themselves."
The press release also pleaded with the international community, as well as the United Nations, to intervene in the Fulani attacks, fearing they might spread to other countries as well.
"We are particularly worried at the widespread insecurity in the country where wanton attacks and killings by armed Fulani herdsmen, bandits and terrorists have been taking place on a daily basis in our communities unchallenged despite huge investments in the security agencies," they added, saying President Muhammadu Buhari has failed to bring attackers to justice.
They referenced several mass-scale attacks this year, including the slaughter of over 200 people, mostly Christians, at the end of June in raids carried out by the herdsmen on local area farmers near the city of Jos.
Although some international news media has sought to characterize the killings as a land conflict between community groups, the church leaders, along with major persecution watchdog groups such as Open Doors USA and International Christian Concern, have all said that Christians are being deliberately targeted.

"We reject the narrative that the attacks on Christian communities across the country as 'farmers/herdsmen clash.' The federal government has been so immersed in this false propaganda and deceit while forcefully pushing the policy idea of establishing cattle ranches/colonies on the ancestral farming lands of the attacked communities for the Fulani herdsmen as the only solution to the problem," the press release declared, accusing the government of also pushing such a narrative.
"How can it be a clash when one group is persistently attacking, killing, maiming, destroying; and the other group is persistently being killed, maimed and their places of worship destroyed? How can it be a clash when the herdsmen are hunting farmers in their own villages/communities and farmers are running for their lives?" the church leaders asked.
"How can it be a clash when the herdsmen are the predators and the inhabitant/indigenous farmers are the prey? Until we call a disease by its real name and causatives, it would be difficult to properly diagnose the disease for the right curative medications."
There have been different reports on the number of Christians killed in Nigeria since the start of the year.
The International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law, Intersociety, stated on Tuesday that a combined total of 1,750 Christians, along with non-Muslims, have been killed both by the Fulani herdsmen, and by Boko Haram radicals, who are a separate terror group.
Intersociety also warned of a genocide in its statement.
"Nigeria is drifting to [a path of] genocide through killing, maiming, burning and destruction of churches and other sacred places of worship, and forceful seizure and occupation of ancestral, worship, farming and dwelling lands of the indigenous Christians and other indigenous religionists in Northern Nigeria," it said.
Roman Catholic Bishop William Avenya of Gboko separately told charity Aid to the Church in Need that the world cannot wait for a full-on genocide before deciding to intervene.
"Please don't make the same mistake as was made with the genocide in Rwanda," he pleaded, referring to the massacre of Tutsi people in Rwanda, where close to 1 million were killed in 1994.
"It happened beneath our noses, but no one stopped it. And we know well how that ended," Avenya said.

A miracle story is emerging after a tornado struck Paducah, KY last week, devastating a church building where 40 preschool kids and 10 church staff were going about their day.
The miracle? No one was killed or injured even though the roof was ripped off. The only room that survived unscathed was the room they were in.

Church member Sylvia Cherry said, “We just give God the glory that no one was hurt.”

On Thursday, residents of Paducah took shelter as a tornado tore through five miles of land. The twister damaged several buildings including Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

When the twister hit, the church’s pre-school was in full swing. Preschool Director Michelle Rushing took the 40 children to safety into the innermost room.
As the storm raged around them, the Baptist Press reports they sang songs like “Jesus Loves Me” and “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands”.

Increasing Attacks on Christians in Borno State Go Unreported

03/14/2019 Washington, D.C. (International Christian Concern) – International Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that earlier today, around 6:00 a.m., Boko Haram insurgents launched an attack on Ngurhlavu village of Lassa in Askira-Uba local council area of southern Borno State. Most of the villagers were able to flee into the bush, but the insurgents burned down six homes, destroyed the EYN Church (Church of the Brethren), killed one person, and abducted two sisters, Stella Ibrahim and Plungwa Ibrahim.

Recalling the attack, a senior executive of the EYN Church, who wished to remain anonymous, said that their local pastor called around 6:00 a.m. to report the attack. He shared, “I could hear desperation in his voice, just coming out of the bush. His voice sounded completely demoralized as he was saying only God… We don’t know what else to do! There’s no security presence here.” The insurgents dropped a concealed improvised explosive device which a church member named Avi Lassa stepped on. Avi was killed on the spot.

China’s crackdown on Christians and their churches is intensifying as officials have targeted yet another church with a major arrest that included nearly a dozen children.

For more than a decade, international observers have predicted China would eventually become the world’s largest Christian nation. Evangelical leader and former presidential candidate Gary Bauer believes that growth is behind the increased persecution campaign by President Xi Jinping and other government officials.

Last weekend, nearly 50 members of the Early Rain Covenant Church, including 11 children, were arrested in the city of Chengdu. Public security bureau agents closed the church last December and arrested Pastor Wahng-Yee and 160 Christians. This time, the church reports at least two of its members were “violently beaten.”

New Zealand police said four people were in custody in connection with a mass shooting that claimed multiple lives at two mosques in the city of Christchurch Friday, and an investgiation into the killings revealed a number of improvised explosive devices in vehicles that were defused.

Mike Bush, the commissioner of the New Zealand police, described the suspects only as three men and one woman. They were apprehended by local police, he said. No motive for the attack has been determined.
Investigators did not rule out that more gunmen could be involved in Friday's attack, he said. Reports circulated that between nine and 27 people were killed, according to the New Zealand Herald, but authorities did not confirm those reports.
Police were also working to remove an unconfirmed video that circulated onlineshowed a gunman entering a building and firing multiple gunshots at people inside. A man who claimed responsibility for the shooting reportedly published a 74-page anti-immigrant manifesto prior to the killings.
Officers responded to a shooting at the Masjid Al Noor in Christchurch Friday afternoon and also responded to a second gunman at the nearby Linwood Masjid mosque.

Authorities were not sure if any other locations were under threat and urged worshipers to refrain from visiting any mosque in the country, said Mike Bush, the commissioner of the New Zealand police. Christchurch schools were locked down until further notice.
"We have one person in custody but we are unsure if there are any other people," Bush said.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said Friday's events were "one of New Zealand's darkest days."
Witnesses said the Masjid Al Noor mosque was full for Friday afternoon prayer when the shooting occurred. Len Peneha told the Associated Press that he saw a man dressed in black enter the mosque and then heard dozens of gunshots. That was followed by terrified mosque-goers running from the terror. The gunman ran outside and dropped what appeared to be a semi-automatic weapon and fled.

“I saw dead people everywhere," said one nearby resident.

Another witness told TVNZ he saw three women shot and bleeding outside the mosque. A third witness told Stuff.co.NZ the gunman fired more than 50 shots.
"He had a big gun and a lot of bullets and he came through and started shooting like everyone in the mosque, like everywhere, and they have to smash the door and the glass from the window and from the small door to try and get out," he said.
Members of the Bangladesh cricket team said they narrowly escape the shooting at the Masjid Al Noor mosque. Players and coaching staff were reportedly getting off a bus when the shooting broke out. Tamim Iqbal, a batsman on the team, tweeted “entire team got saved from active shooters. Frightening experience and please keep us in your prayers.”

Mario Villavarayen, a strength and conditioning coach with the team, told New Zealand media the players did not see the shooter but heard shots. He said they were shaken but unhurt.
“I spoke to one of them shortly after,” Vllavarayen said. They didn’t see anything but heard gunshots. They were at the ground and just started running. The coaching staff were all at the hotel.”
The team reportedly fled the scene on foot to Hagley Oval where it is scheduled to play New Zealand on Saturday.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A window-rattling late winter storm brought blizzards, high winds, rain or floods to more than 25 states Wednesday, stretching from the northern Rocky Mountains to Texas and beyond.

"This is a very epic cyclone," said Greg Carbin, chief of forecast operations for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Weather Prediction Center. "We're looking at something that will go down in the history books."

It could develop into the worst storm of its type in 35 or 40 years, he said.

Blowing snow forced major highways to close in Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming. About 1,000 flights were canceled at Denver International Airport, and nearly 40 more were canceled at Colorado Springs.

Colorado’s second case against Masterpiece Cakeshop and Jack Phillips crumbles https://bibleforums.org/showthread.php/280834-Colorado’s-second-case-against-Masterpiece-Cakeshop-and-Jack-Phillips-crumbles?goto=newpost Tue, 12 Mar 2019 00:15:24 GMT Shortly after Jack Phillips’ victory at the Supreme Court, the state of Colorado embarked on a second campaign to crush the Colorado cake artist and his small family business, Masterpiece Cakeshop. By seeking yet again to punish Jack for living out... Shortly after Jack Phillips’ victory at the Supreme Court, the state of Colorado embarked on a second campaign to crush the Colorado cake artist and his small family business, Masterpiece Cakeshop. By seeking yet again to punish Jack for living out his faith, Colorado left little doubt that it harbored hostility toward religious people like Jack.

Throughout its second legal battle, evidence emerged that removed all doubt of that continued hostility. And on March 5, Colorado quit its second, ill-advised crusade against Jack.

Colorado commissioners have every incentive to minimize their defeat or to describe it as a legal truce, but it isn’t. Colorado has relentlessly pursued Jack for over six-and-a-half years, stripping him of 40 percent of his business and the wedding work he loves. But, now, the state’s harassment has come to an end.

As Jack’s attorneys, we’re delighted that he gets to go back to focusing on his cake art. And as advocates for religious liberty, we’re hopeful that Colorado’s failed crusades serve as warnings to other government officials hostile toward religious freedom.

The first time Colorado officials came after Jack, they ordered him to create cakes celebrating a view of marriage that conflicts with his faith. That six-year ordeal was laced with government actions disparaging Jack’s religious beliefs. It also included unequal treatment: Colorado punished Jack for declining to create cakes with messages that he cannot in good conscience express, while allowing other cake artists—those whose views the state likes—to do the very same thing.

Then, in a decisive 7-2 victory for Jack, the U.S. Supreme Court declared unconstitutional the state’s efforts to punish him, finding that the state acted with “clear and impermissible hostility toward [his] sincere religious beliefs.”

But shortly after Jack’s win, Colorado officials came after him again, seeking to force him to create a custom pink-and-blue cake celebrating a gender transition. The request for that cake came from a Colorado lawyer, and it came on the very same day that the Supreme Court announced it would hear Jack’s case during a phone call where the lawyer told the shop’s representative that another person was listening via speaker phone. It wasn’t what you would consider an ordinary request. Our legal team eventually proved that this same attorney called Jack at least one other time and requested a cake celebrating Satan’s birthday with an image of Satan smoking marijuana.

Colorado tried to use that attorney’s request for the gender-transition cake as the basis for prosecuting Jack again. Unwilling to sit back while the state turned his life upside down for another six years, Jack filed a lawsuit against the state officials intent on punishing him for living out his faith.

Through it all, Jack remains the same. He continues to be the mild-mannered cake artist who serves everyone but declines to create custom cakes that express messages or celebrate events in violation of his faith. That includes cakes celebrating Halloween, glorifying divorce, or denigrating our country.

And he continues to befriend the homeless folks who wander into his shop, sharing a brownie and cup of coffee with them. This, after all, is the same man who offered free cookies to people who came out to protest him.

Consistent with Jack’s past practices, his shop declined the requested gender-transition cake because it would have communicated that the status of being male or female can be chosen and changed based on perceptions and feelings—a message that conflicts with his religious beliefs. For that decision, the state prosecuted Jack a second time, announcing that he must create that cake or be punished.

In forging ahead with that new complaint, Colorado officials confirmed that they applied their laws in an arbitrary way, which the Supreme Court has already said that they cannot do. Worse yet, Colorado commissioners—functioning as Jack’s judge and jury—had the audacity to express their continued support for anti-religious comments that the Supreme Court condemned in Jack’s first case.

That’s right—after the Supreme Court’s ruling, two of the current commissioners said publicly that they agree with a former commissioner’s comments declaring that religious freedom is a “despicable piece of rhetoric.” Once our legal team secured audio recordings of those statements (and added those to the Twitter post of another commissioner calling Jack a “hater”), Colorado’s legal attack fell apart.

With that, the government’s most recent crusade against Jack ends, not with a bang, but a whimper. We’re hopeful that this signals an end to state-sponsored hostility toward religion in Colorado and a new era of tolerance and respect toward people of faith.

Clyburn defends Omar: Her experiences are more empirical and personal than descendants of Holocaust survivors

Quote:

I thought the talking point yesterday from Democrats was that there’s “no hierarchy of hurt,” meaning that anti-semitism shouldn’t be specially acknowledged in a House resolution relative to other forms of prejudice. How is that logic different from right-wingers answering claims of “black lives matter” with “all lives matter”? Well, Dems would say, righties were acting in bad faith; they don’t really care about black lives, they were just trying to blunt the force of a meritorious argument about racism against a particular group of Americans.

How are we feeling about that Democratic argument today? You think Ilhan Omar, who was chirping about AIPAC and “the Benjamins” just last month, and all of the members of the Democratic Party who tolerate (or pose for photos with) human garbage like Louis Farrakhan are acting in good faith when they claim, in response to a denunciation of anti-semitism, that there’s “no hierarchy of hurt”?

But I digress. Jim Clyburn is very much *not* on board with the idea that there’s “no hierarchy of hurt.” There is a hierarchy, and former refugee Ilhan Omar apparently sits higher on it than an American Jew whose grandparents were turned into soap by the Nazis.

Clyburn came to Omar’s defense Wednesday, lamenting that many of the media reports surrounding the recent controversy have omitted mentioning that Omar, who was born in Somalia, had to flee the country to escape violence and spent four years in a Kenyan refugee camp before coming to the United States.

Her experience, Clyburn argued, is much more empirical — and powerful — than that of people who are generations removed from the Holocaust, Japanese internment camps during World War II and the other violent episodes that have marked history.

“I’m serious about that. There are people who tell me, ‘Well, my parents are Holocaust survivors.’ ‘My parents did this.’ It’s more personal with her,” Clyburn said. “I’ve talked to her, and I can tell you she is living through a lot of pain.”

What did I say yesterday about Omar being graded on a curve for her understanding of American cultural sensitivities even though, in any other context, it would be the rankest prejudice to suggest that she’s not as fully American as everyone else? Here it is, in action, from the third-ranking Democrat in the House. Philip Klein tries to parse the point Clyburn’s making:

The implication is that because Omar fled Somalia she gets a free pass to target another religious minority.
It also in itself is deeply offensive. Remembering the Holocaust, and the oft repeated phrase “Never Again,” is about making sure we’re proactive about combating anti-Semitism before it manifests in ways that lead to mass slaughter.
Not to mention, it isn’t as if anti-Semitism is an abstract problem. Hate crimes against Jews are on the rise.

Correct on all counts, particularly the last point. If you polled Democrats on which religious group they believe is most commonly targeted in hate crimes in America, I bet most would say “Muslims, of course,” starting with Clyburn. Not so. It’s Jews by a wide margin. As for Clyburn’s point about her refugee status, I don’t understand what relevance he thinks that has to any part of this discussion. Is he claiming, as I imagined above, that she doesn’t understand stereotypes about dual loyalty as well as a native-born American would and therefore should be cut some slack? Is he making the point Klein senses, that refugees have had hard lives and shouldn’t have those lives made harder by hassling them about their prejudices (“she is living through a lot of pain”)?
I think he’s making a more basic point: Omar’s refugee background is a reminder that she’s a Victim many times over, in her race, her gender, her religion, and the chaos she endured as a child in Somalia. When you measure her victimhood against that of someone who didn’t experience the Holocaust firsthand, she wins. She’s a gold medalist in the Victim Olympics. Descendants of the Nazis’ extermination campaign are no better than silver, maybe bronze.
And so, you see, there is a hierarchy of hurt and this episode is very much about reordering that hierarchy in a way more suitable to progressive policy. In fact, here’s another telling quote from Clyburn yesterday: “Everybody talks about how diverse this Congress is. This Congress is not diverse; the Democratic Caucus is diverse… We’ve got 53 black people in our caucus. How many Muslims do you think are in their caucus?” It is … interesting that he thinks political space needs to be cleared for dual-loyalty smears aimed at supporters of the Jewish state just because his caucus contains a handful of Muslim members, but that’s the implication. And it’s unfair to Muslims inasmuch as it lets off the hook all the non-Muslim progressive trash in the Dems’ freshmen crop who have spun hard for Omar over the last 72 hours. This isn’t about accommodating Muslim or refugee sensibilities in the newly diverse Democratic caucus, it’s about young progressives wanting to steer the party and eventually the country towards a stance more hostile to Israel and viewing this episode with Omar as an early battle towards that end. By defending Omar and defeating a resolution aimed at her, they’re able to flex their muscle and show Pelosi that the fight over the direction of U.S.-Israel policy is on and anti-semitism will be no bar to it.
The democrats and their selective bigotry is astounding.

I guess blacks are so removed from slavery they shouldn't have any claims either? ]]>

Ocasio-Cortez Defends Ilhan Omar After Anti-Israel Comments: ‘I’m Proud’
Quote:

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has come to the defense of fellow freshman congresswoman Ilhan Omar, who is facing backlash for her comments about Israel—many of which have been deemed anti-Semitic by Republicans and Democrats alike.
“It’s not my position to tell people how to feel, or that their hurt is invalid,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted on Tuesday morning. “But incidents like these do beg the question: where are the resolutions against homophobic statements? For anti-blackness? For xenophobia? For a member saying he’ll ‘send Obama home to Kenya?’”
In an earlier social media post on Tuesday, Ocasio-Cortez wrote that “one of the things that is hurtful about the extent to which reprimand is sought of Ilhan is that no one seeks this level of reprimand when members make statements about Latinx + other communities.”

She then pointed to Republican Jason Smith’s comment on the House floor during the government shutdown, where he shouted “go back to Puerto Rico” while Representative Tony Cárdenas waited to speak. Smith later called Cárdenas to apologize for the remark.

Omar has been accused of using anti-Semitic language in recent comments questioning U.S. support of Israel. At a bookstore forum in Washington, D.C., last week, Omar sparked fury when she said that pro-Israel advocates are pushing for “allegiance to a foreign country.”

The Muslim congresswoman has also come under fire for a 2012 tweet, in which she wrote: “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel. #Gaza #Palestine #Israel.” The tweet has since been deleted.

In response to Omar’s comments, House Democrats have drafted a resolution condemning anti-Semitism. The resolution, which details the history and recent rise of anti-Semitism in the United States, does not name Omar specifically. The measure will come to a vote on the House floor on Wednesday.

Ocasio-Cortez also came to Omar’s defense after a fellow Democratic Rep. Juan Vargas wrote on Twitter that it was “unacceptable” to question the country’s relationship with Israel. Vargas also wrote that “it is disturbing that Rep. Omar continues to perpetuate hurtful anti-Semitic stereotypes that misrepresent our Jewish community.”

Ocasio-Cortez fired back, saying she was curious if Vargas “will further explain his stance here that it’s unacceptable to even *question* US foreign policy. Plenty of Dem members have asserted that discussion + debate on this issue is fair and merited. Is this stance a departure from that?”

Omar has repeatedly defended her questioning of the U.S.-Israel relationship. The congresswoman wrote on Twitter that “our democracy is built on debate.” She then added: “I have not mischaracterized our relationship with Israel, I have questioned it and that has been clear from my end.”

On Tuesday, President Trump tweeted that Omar's remarks about Israel mark a "dark day" for Israel.

So now the Democrat party has an unrepentant Anti Semite https://bibleforums.org/showthread.php/280627-So-now-the-Democrat-party-has-an-unrepentant-Anti-Semite?goto=newpost Fri, 08 Mar 2019 15:43:54 GMT Ilhan Omar

And other Democrats refuse to rebuke her, or indeed speak against her in any way. The opposite, they're rallying around her. This is very painful for me.

And I don't want to hear any garbage about how she's just criticizing Israeli policy or whatever. She said, in sum and substance, (1) that Israel “hypnotizes the world”; (2) that American support for Israel was about Jewish-American money; and (3) that supporters of Israel have dual loyalty to Israel.

Those are all anti-Semitic tropes having nothing whatsoever to do with Israeli policy.

The Democrats, the supposed champion of oppressed minorities, have decided not to stand with Jews.

What's really sad is that Somali Muslims from her district are unhappy with this behavior. They are saying that they have been discriminated against, and the local Jewish community has stood with them, so why is she attacking Jews? But Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have decided that her behavior is to be tolerated.
