    Or Michael

    Jude 1:9 (WEB)
But Michael, the archangel, when contending with the devil and arguing about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him an abusive condemnation, but said, “May the Lord rebuke you!”

That's sort of what I was thinking. Might or authority or ...?

Meeting the destroying angel is not on my 'to do list'

            [See Exodus 12 vs 23]
Grace is the gift of Christ, who exposes the gulf which separates God and man, and, by exposing it, bridges it. [K Barth]

i may be wrong but i think the Destroyer is Jesus. It is my interpretation that in the OT, THE ANGEL of the LORD was Jesus. There is another verse somewhere and it say the Angel of the Lord destroyed something lol i need to study my Bible more

But even Micheal had to battle Lucifer through Jesus's power:

                Jude 9
Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
Mal 3:16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.
