  • IMPORTANT 2000th post - The importance of bible reading

Psalm 1: verse 2 - But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. KJV

but who delights in the law of Yahweh
and murmers his law day and night. Jerusalem bible

The sense of this verse is meditation throughout the day on the Word of God. We talk about reading the bible, we talk about living the bible message - but to do this you need to be reading the bible regularly (daily) and reflecting on that reading throughout the day.

The reverse of this, is saying, 'I've read it before' or 'I know what it says.' Which has an element of truth for some people. But what you are denying is the power of God's Spirit within you to reveal new truths through the same words. To reveal as much as you are able to take at that point in your Walk.

So this post is just gentle encouragement to read the bible more regularly, if you don't already. To ask the Spirit within you to guide that reading. Also to join with other believers in study. May our Lord Jesus Christ bless your reading of His Word/ the bible. Love SofTy.
1 Corinthians 1:12-13 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos: and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptised in the name of Paul?

    KJV

May the power of the Spirit of our God unite us. SofTy.
