    TheProcess of Eating

Eatingfood is a multi process, it is not just putting food into your mouth, even though that is a part
ofeating. Eating also incorporates smelling which is something thatusually happens before putting
foodin your mouth. Seeing is also a part of the eating process. You seethe food before you partake
ofit. Tasting, and feeling the texture of the food is another part to.Sometimes we hear whats being
cooked,in other words eating incorporates all of mans five physical senses, not just tasting. You see,
smell, touch, hear before you actually put it into your mouth. So seeingfood is a part of the process of
eating, which means even though you have not put any food into your mouth, just the fact you are
seeingit you are also eating it! Jesus spoke of something very similar tothis,

    1. But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to desire her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Looking, and desiring a woman for physical pleasure in your heart is the samething as actually
doingit! What we choose to look at is very important to our well being andfuture!

    TheProphet Habakkuk said...

    1. Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?

Godcan not look upon evil, because he always gets what he sees! When hesees something that he
doesnot like, he turns from it so as not to give life to it! He does notwant what he sees. “God protects
hisheart above all things, because out of it proceeds, and flows theforces of life”

    1. Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.

Wedo not want to give life to something that is not holy, and just, sowe must turn our self's from it
soas not to cause it to have life. Seeing is apart of eating!! RememberGod told Adam not to eat from
thetree of the knowledge of good and evil.

    (15) And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden totend and guard and keepit.
    (16) And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat ofevery tree of the garden;
    1. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.

WhenGod told Adam not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good andevil, the tree itself was
notevil, there was no poison in it that would kill him. As Genesis 1:30tells us...

    (31) And Godsaw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. Andthe evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Godused this tree to test Adam's moral judgment, weather he would beobedient which brings
blessing,or disobedience which brings cursing! Death is the result ofdisobedience. The tree did not
bringor give death to Adam it was only an instrument for testing hisobedience to Gods command.
Thevery last place you would expect Adam and Eve to be, after knowingnot to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, wasstanding right in front of it! God told Adam to keep the garden. Theword, “keep” means to keep your eye on, to protect it.You protect something by keeping your eye upon it. Once you take youreyes off of it you are no longer protecting it! There are a lotthings in this world that we should not be looking upon, because ifwe do we will be asking for trouble. Don't' give life to evil bylooking at it, turn from it as God does. Looking at things that arenot holy, and just you begin eating from it like Adam, and Eve did. When the serpent spoke to Eve he caused her to begin to question hercontentment in what she already had in the garden.

    (1) Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field whichthe LORD God had made. And hesaid unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Yeshall not eat of every tree of the garden?
    (2) And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of thetrees of the garden:
    (3) But of the fruit of the tree which isin the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it,neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Howmany times in our own lives have we instead of looking at the thingswe do have, we begin
lookingat things we don't have? We think, maybe we are missing out onsomething that someone else
has.Adam and Eve could eat from any tree in the garden except one.Sometimes we become
discontentin our lives by looking at the things we do not have instead ofwhat we do have, as a result
webegin desiring for something more, or maybe something wethink is better. The definition of
    theword, “desire”...

Anemotion or excitement of the mind, directed to the attainment orpossession of an object from
whichpleasure, sensual, intellectual or spiritual, is expected. (Desire),when directed solely to
sensualenjoyment, differs little from appetite. (Desire),The feeling that accompanies an

    1. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the
eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Becomingdiscontent can, and often brings about an appetite for adesire thats can kill for you!
Wemust not do what Adam, and Eve did by standing and looking (eating)at the evil in this world, only
lookat what the Spirit of God has revealed to us. God has revealed to usevery thing he has prepared
    forus by His Spirit.

    (5) Your conduct must be free from the love of money and you must becontentwith what you have, for he has said, "Iwill never leave you and I will never abandon you."4

    (4) And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
(5)For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyesshall be opened, and yeshall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Possibly,Eve was thinking, “maybe God is holding something back from us. Whycan't we eat from
everytree in the garden?” God does, (so she thought) so why can't we?“….yeshall be as gods,
knowinggood and evil. “ TheLord holds nothing back from us, he has given us all things richly to
enjoy. As the Apostle James says, “youhave not because you ask not...”(James4:2) Simply asking the
Lordfor what ever information we do not have will result to receivingthat answer from him!
Asthe scriptures reveal to us, Eve was deceived by the serpent, butAdam knowing what was
happeningjust went along with his wife. They both fell into sin by theredisobedience, Eve by
deception,Adam by knowing it was wrong but doing it anyway. It is interestingthat both Adam and
Evefell into sin in the same way the devil did. He (the Devil) wanted tobe like God, he wanted to
exalthis throne above the stars of God.

    (13) For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven,I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides ofthe north:
    (14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; Iwill be like the most High.

Partof the deception to Adam and Eve was ,”you shall be likeGod....” They were alreadycreated in
theimage of God. Maybe they thought there was more they needed. Adamfell because he allowed
himselfto filled with violencejust like Lucifer in the book of Ezekiel.

    (14) Thou artthe anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so:thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and downin the midst of the stones of fire.
    (15) Thou wastperfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, tilliniquity was found in thee.
    (16) Bythe multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of theewithviolence, andthou hast sinned:therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: andI will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stonesof fire.

Remembera violent person isnot just someone who physically hurts people, but can, and often is a
personwho is soft spoken, polite, well mannered, gentile, and likable. There downfall is they do not
thinkthrough the consequences of there actions. Lucifer had gained so muchwealth through the
multitudeof his traffic it caused him to be filled with violence. His thinkingbecame clouded to where
hedid not think through the consequences of his actions, and just didthem anyway. That was the
samething that happened to Adam, he knew it was wrong but did it anyway.
Adamand Eve should have only kept there eyes on what God told them to,the garden. When we
beginto look at the things in this physical world, you begin to eat of itsfruit, and as a result we get
ourselvesin to trouble. Remember the words of James,

    (13) Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for Godcannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
(14)But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, andenticed.
    1. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Anytime we break a command of God it brings guilt, condemnation, shame, fear, and the not
knowingwhats going to happen next. In other words death.
This world lies in wickedness, and darkness as the Apostle Johnstells us in the
    5chapter of 1 John...

    1John 5:19
    (19) Andwe know that we are of God, andthe whole world lieth in wickedness.

Keepingour eyes on only what is good is absolutely the only way to changethis world in which we
live!No amount of money or feeding the poor will do it, we must use thepower of faith if we are going
tochange anything! The Church today is responsible for the condition ofthis world, and we are not
doingwhat was commanded us from God. We are to pray his Kingdom come, hiswill be done on earth
asit is in heaven! We are not doing this, because we don't know how.Remember God gave Adam
dominionover all the works of his hands, and then he lost it when he fell, and now Jesus has restored
thatback to us through his death and resurrection! Jesus said...

    (19) Behold,I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and overall the power of the enemy:and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
    (20) Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subjectunto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written inheaven.

Yetwith all this power we have we still read in 1 John, “..thewhole world lieth in
wickedness.”There is a big problem here. We are the heirs of this world, itbelongs to us, why is the
wholeworld under the control of the wicked one when we have allpowerover him? I will tell you
why,and how to fix this problem!

    1. Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

(Thisis what killed Adam and Eve, the guilt and shame of disobeying God. Their conscience
broughtthem condemnation! They had never experienced this before, and as anattempt to get rid of
it,they sewed fig leaves together to cover their shame and guilt. Guilt, shame, and fear is a killer. Do
youknow why people feel guilty when they do wrong? Because they are! Theonly thing that can take
ourguilt away is the blood of Jesus Christ!!) “Without the shedding ofblood, there is no remission of

    (2) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you freefrom the law of sin and of death.
    (3) For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, Goddid:sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and asan offeringfor sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,
    (4) so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who donot walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
(5)For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on thethings of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, thethings of the Spirit.
    (6) For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on theSpirit is life and peace,
    1. because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, (NASB)

Forus to be able to change this world we first have to live and dwell inthe spirit. This is were things originate and start from. We don'tstart in the flesh and wind up in the spirit, we start in the
spiritualrealm. There is nothing we can do in the physical world to change it!Notice verse 5 it says, “
thosewho walk in the flesh have there minds set on the things of theflesh” Do we really know
whatit means to “set our mind, or to have a mindset” of the flesh. The King James Bible says, “ For
theythat are after the fleshdo mindthe things of the flesh” Whatdoes the Greek word mean for
..”domind”? Itdoesnotmean to have your mind preoccupied with the things of the flesh, which most
peoplebelieve it to mean. It means, “mindset, outlook, or world view”. When our minds are
preoccupiedwith this world by seeing, hearing, feeling, tasting, and touchingthings, it causes us to
forman outlook, or world view. When we watch TV and listen to the news wehear about our
governmentand the different political party's trying to guide our country,Then we hear about, and
seenews clips about other parts of the world, and whats happening there.Because of these things we
formand shape an world view. This is what a mindset of the flesh is, itsan outlook that is based on
informationgained through the senses of the flesh. Lets read this same versefrom the New English

    (5) For those who live accordingto the flesh have their outlook shaped bythe things of the flesh, but thosewho live according to the Spirit have their outlook shaped by thethings of the Spirit.
    (6) For the outlook6of the flesh is death, but the outlook of the Spirit is life andpeace,
    (7) because the outlook of the flesh is hostile to God, for it does notsubmit to the law of God, nor is it able to do so.

Inthe same way the flesh shapes our outlook by the things we hear, see, feel, taste and touch, the
Spiritalso shapes our outlook, except it is with our spiritual senses. Youeither live according the flesh
oraccording to the Spirit, not both at the same time! Now lets readverse 6...

Forthe outlook of the flesh is death, but the outlook of theSpirit is life and peace,

Whenyour outlook is shaped by the flesh, all you see is death!!!!Sometimes I hear other Christians
say,“Well if President Obama gets re-elected, this whole country isgoing down the tubes, If Iran gets a
nuke,we are all done for. etc etc etc, all they see is death. They aregetting all there information via the
flesh, which has created a world view. They are foreseeing bad thingscoming. This is really bad for us
theChurch, because we always get what we see. If all we see is deaththen that is all we are going get.
    RememberJesus told us,

    Matthew12:35 KJV
    1. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

Ifall we are seeing and looking at is what the world already sees, thenwe are operating no
differentthan the world! Instead of changing this worlds we are actuallyhelping it get worse.
Idon't know if you know this but this world belongs to us, we areheirs of this world, not the Devil!!
Weare responsible for whats going on here!! Remember what the Book ofHebrews tells us about

    (12) But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever,sat down on the right hand of God;
    1. From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

Jesusdied 2 thousand years ago, and from that time on he has beenexpecting his enemies to be made
hisfootstool!!! Who is going to do that, who is going to make Jesus'senemies his footstool? Since we
(the Church) have all the power over him (the Devil), I guess thatsfalls upon us! Somebody might say,” it is God who is going to putall things under him”, in fact that is what the Bible says...

    (6) But one testified in a certain place, saying, "What is man, that You are mindful of him; or the son of man, that You visit him?
    (7) You have made him a little lower than theangels. You crowned him with glory and honor and set him over theworks of Your hands.
    1. You subjected all things under his feet." For in subjecting all things to Him, He did not leave anything not subjected to Him. But now we do not see all things having been subjected to him.

OurHeavenly father has put every thing under Jesus's feet, He leftnothing not under his control.
Jesusis our heard and we are his body. That means everything is under ourcontrol also! But notice
whatit says in the last part of this verse.

“…..Butnow we do not see all thingshaving been subjected to him.”

Theproblem is we are not seeing everything under his control, but we aresuppose to. We should
beseeing Jesus crowned with Glory and honor!

    (9) Butwe see Jesus, who wasmade a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crownedwith glory and honor, that He by thegrace of God should taste death for all.

    1. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Weare not doing a very good job are we? Now lets read verse 6-7 fromRomans 8....

    (6) For the outlook6of the flesh is death, but theoutlook of the Spirit is life and peace,
    1. because the outlook of the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to the law of God, nor is it able to do so.

Thebeliever who's outlook is formed by the Spirit of God, all they seeis life!!!!! life!!! LIFE!!!!
Verse7 “...because the outlook of the flesh ishostile to God....” Deathis the enemy of God!
...Forthe outlook6 of the flesh isdeath...”,“...because theoutlook of the flesh is hostile
toGod....” What ishappening in the world today is (hostile) the enemy of God. He doesnot like what
hesees, so turns from it so as not to give it life. What God gives lifeto is what the Spirit shapes and
formsas our outlook!! “..but the outlook of the Spirit is life and peace” Faithis the only thing
thatcan change this world, and it's what we see that is shaped by theSpirit of God which is our
outlook. What we see (outlook) is what we get, everything else is death!

    1. (7) because the outlook of the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to the law of God, nor is it able to do so.

Everythingwe see in this world with our physical senses is hostile (enemy) toGod. Because it is not
subjectto the law of God (KJV). It's not one of the subjects of the laws ofGod or faith. You can not find
itin any of the precepts or concepts of faith! You can not changesomething by looking at it in the
physical, but by looking at what the Spirit shows us, “The outlook of theSpirit is life”. If we don't see
byfaith God's Kingdom here on earth, then it will not come! Like I havesaid before, there are no
surprisesto those who walk by faith. The only people who will be surprised arethose who walk in

    (17) For our light affliction, which is but for a moment,worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
    (18) Whilewe look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which arenot seen:for the things which are seen aretemporal; but the things which are not seen areeternal.

God'spower which dwells inside each of us (His Glory) only works for us asour outlook is looking
atthe things that can not be seen with our physical eyes, but spiritualeyes of our heart. The outlook of
theSpirit is life! Let us not look at or eat from the fruit of thisworlds view because it will bring you
death.Always remember light brings blindness. The light of darknessblinds our spiritual eyes to
God'sKingdom, but opens our eyes to this world. God's light blinds us tothe things of this world, but
opensour spiritual eyes to God's Kingdom.
