    Please read before posting

    Many of us are convinced that 2011 and beyond will be years of great change. So convinced that we feel it's time for a forum dedicated to this single topic alone: Breaking News.

    The content for this forum is exactly what it sounds like – if something newsworthy is going down right now anywhere in the world, this is the place to mention and discuss it.

    No one can make an informed decision without accurate information. Hopefully this forum will go some way to providing a Christian perspective on the mountains of good and dis-information out there as we sift through it together.

    Please note this forum is for current events only.

    I see this thread (and forum) was started on January 15, 2011. I have felt for some time 2011 would be a watershed year. The rest of the admins agree which is why we started it. But we had no idea it would be this serious.

    Off the top of my head, so far this year has brought us (in no particular order) the following:

    "biblical" floods in Australia
    8.9!! earthquake in Japan
    Conflict in Egypt
    growing military build-up in Lybia
    Japan disaster now on Chernobyl level
    BRICS making a global stand
    6.3 Magnitude earthquake hits New Zealand
    Another big quake - this time in Myanmar
    Prodding Israel, Obama embraces Palestine borders

      "Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name!" (Every time we speak of the Lord, or even THINK of him--its written down in a book of remembrance!)

        Reminder about posting "LINKS" in theads...

        It is the policy of this message board what when a link to a website is posted in any thread, that the link is fully explained. If a link is not explained, the link or even the whole thread can be/will be deleted by the MODS of this message board.

          I would really like you to think about that in any future posts in "Breaking News".... Or on the forum.


          We would be well served to focus more on our reason for being here.... Both on the net, and in this World.

          Please be prepared to discuss how any thread you start relates to that vision, better yet please address that in the original post.

          The intention is not to stifle the discussion, but rather relate these important discussions to our vision statement....

          Please let me or any of the staff know (in PM, or Chat to Moderators) if you have any question about how this relates to a post you want to make.

            Please post all political news articles in the political forum.

            If they are posted in Breaking News they will be closed or moved.

              If you post a political news article in BN it will disappear. They need to be posted in Political. This is stated in all the rule stickies for this forum.

                Please only post news articles from recognized and credible news sources. Articles that are absurd or from spurious sources will be deleted or moved without notice.
