Finally, the fashion industry is listening! Stop airbrushing and using super skinny models! Use normal people! Hopefully the clothing designers will follow suit soon and start tailoring their clothes to fit normal people instead of super tall super skinny models.

Don't seek too much knowledge. You just may be putting more weight on your shoulders than you're able to bare. Let God be the one to decide how quickly you grow.

I heard about this and thought it was a very positive thing, good for them. Ultimately, the most important sources of outlook and self-worth in life comes from the parents, and even more so from God. When you know you have a purpose greater than what you look like, feel like, or what other people think about you, there is no more healthy motivator!

      Thanks for the link.....kinda.....
You know, what passes as acceptable now-a-days was yester-year's pornography. Truly, one would be sent to jail for showing some of those pictures in "Seventeen" to children on a gradeschool playground. Now, you can't buy bread at the greengrocer without having to avert one's eyes...unless you're of the type that celebrates how liberal we've become with the occasion for flesh.
What is "tolerated" today is "normal and acceptable" tomorrow. Even now, my own objection seems oddly out of place.
      Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

I know how you feel. Don't let the man get you down, your objections are appropriate!

I asked this question from one of my friends who is a fashion designer and running her women's clothing store. She said, when designers presenting their latest fashion, they want their outfits to look as perfect as possible. For this to happen, the clothes need to drape and flow, which happens naturally when they are placed on a tall, skinny frame. That is why most of the dummies also come in such small sizes.

There are many designers working for normal, over-size, and over-weight people also and hire different sizes models too for this. And there are many famous and established models working in this category. Have a nice day!

I think we should see different size models, because it would be more realistic of course, but being healthy is not equivalent with being obese, and we don't want to encourage unhealthiness. Please don't get me wrong being bigger than these size 2s and 3s does not mean one is unhealthy, but I don't feel like size 20s and above should be glamorized
It takes love to embrace those ones who are weak, and strength to endure the weakness, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me
