What comes after Trump is going to be the problem.

Our presidents have been chipping away at our democracy
    Recent examples:
Bush II started inserting statements when he signed legislation that he would not enforce parts of the law that he opposed
Obama started using executive orders to bypass Congress
And Trump is redirecting money appropriated for other purposes
The next fellow will exercise even more authority and dare congress to veto him
It is turning our democracy on its head:

Christians bet on Trump and lost.
What did he not do that you expected him to do ?

I don't think there's much wisdom in being overly concerned either way. We're sojourners in this world until Christ returns, so IMO the best perspective of the whole situation is like in 1 Timothy 2 where Paul just advises us to pray to live peaceful lives. This applies to Christians in any country including pagan Rome, which was far worse. But I agree with the core of what you're saying, no one will be asked who they voted for in the resurrection.

Talking about Christians taking part in government, like voting, we need to keep a check on our expectations. We Christians should realize we will only make a little difference. We should at least try for that difference. Most Democrats have become dangerous socialists. Trump was the better of two bad choices.

I have been pleasantly surprised how well Trump is doing for conservatives. As long as he is in office, I don't think we will go to jail for speaking against gay rights. If HRC got into office, we probably would. Let's try to stave off evil as long as we can.

According to the Donald, people are saying, Queen Elizabeth has "never had a better time" than when she was with Donald Trump. And "there was instant chemistry" between them.

Hey good people, are you sure he got his maga hat on the right way?

It is not what he did not do that I expected...
It is his unnatural profession of Christlikeness.

            What would Jesus do?
By beholding Trump, are we seeing Jesus?

It would be wonderful to see a list of things that Trump has done as they reflect the Beatitudes!
If Trump is a winner for Christians
THEN he is upholding Christ to the nations.

Gandhi once said ""in Jesus' own life was the key of his nearness to God, that he expressed as no other could, the spirit and will of God... I do believe that something of the spirit that Jesus exemplified in the highest measure,..."

Can anything like that be said of Trump?

GHW Bush was known for his "kinder gentler America"
Can that be said of Trump?

Of Trump, it can be said "Might is right"
He is the man that threatened to call fire and fury down on NK

And when the pendulum goes to the extreme
            "Absolute power corrupts absolutely"

From my study of Bible prophecy, I tell you what Trump will give us:
            1) a war with Iran [that frustrated nation will attack our fleet in the Persian Gulf]
            2) he will get impeached [probably near the 2020 election]
            3) President Pence [and he will manipulate things so that he stays in office]

you have no idea how the American economy is going to tank because of
the unChristlike policies and actions implemented by Trump.

Enjoy your victory parade (don't let me rain on it)
But when cause meets effect, I bet you will see that Trump was a looser.

Too late, too late, TOO LATE!

I do not disagree with you.

But I have read that God's people perish because they lack knowledge. Not only lack it but reject it.

It is heart breaking that Christians would reject knowledge and bring calamity upon themselves and others.

I didn't say that GHWB had a kinder gentler America, because he didn't.
But he did have a profession that paraded itself as kinder gentler.
Trump has no profession of kindness or gentleness.

The economy will tank because God put Trump in office to do what he is doing.
To bring in the Time of Trouble like that which the world has never seen.
President trump is God's answer to Christians that put their trust in Trump instead of God.

But again. That is how I read the Bible and you will just have to wait and see.

Eat drink and be merry today while Trump is riding high and appearing untouchable.
Enjoy the peace and safety, and don't be shocked when sudden destruction comes.

When the #IranUSwar flares up in the Persian Gulf because of Trump's miscalculations
The Iranians stop the oil flow from the Gulf ports and gas goes to $10.00 a gallon
I will be waiting for you to tell me how much Christians won betting on Trump.

First off, I don't think Iran will go to war with us. They need this heavy hand approach and I believe they will back down. The USA is heading for a downfall according to prophecy, but I don't think Trump will be instrumental in that.

Trump's tariff policies are maybe extreme but at least he is addressing what past administrations haven't. Trump is addressing issues that past presidents just played patty-cake with.

The divisions separating Americans are being brought into the forefront. It was bound to happen as we are not fighting with flesh and blood, but demons driving evil people in power. Better get to praying! It will get worse!

"We know in part and we prophecy in part, but when that which is perfect is come then that which is in part will be done away" 1 Cor 13:

It would not be possible for us to distinguish between the wheat and tares if we tired to separate them before the harvest.
As the harvest draws closer, they begin to ripen, and they will not be so difficult to tell apart.

My point being that the judgment will not be based on who you voted for but the heart behind your actions. Everything will be tested on whether you acted/spoke out of love for God and love for others, or selfishness and idolatry.

Paul also warns that some will persecute believers thinking they do God a favor. Intentions matter, but so do bad actions with good intentions. I don't think it is enough to have good intentions but we also need right actions. IOW, we can confuse love of God and fellow man with a "love" that is not Godly in origin, but human. Don't you think?

I thank God often that He raised up President Trump. The alternative was a person that would have continued attacking through the health law such charities as Little Sisters of the Poor and of course, going after believers that refused to participate in abominable acts with their businesses. That doesn't even address issues such as infanticide.

There will come a time when the left is set free to set their godless agenda upon the nations. Thankfully, that time has been delayed yet again. It was delayed, not with a perfect man, but with one who sympathizes with believers. I thank God for where we are today because it is a different and better place than where we were most certainly headed.
