  • ok. what's the deal.

i'm feeling out of place, on this earth. i want to do mission work, but i don't know where or what God wants me to do. i'm gonna help out at kids church and maybe a after school thing with ages 5-10. but still. i'm so confused by life. i shouldn't be here. in this...pointless sinful life.

today is basically one big battle. i've now been 100% free from lust/porn for a week. my longest in 12 years. it's hard. i'm feeling odd. i don't want to give in, cuz then, i distance myself from God. i've been reading the bible today, and praying and all, but still. i'm kinda tired of people. even my christian friends. and Jesus doesn't exactly have full on conversations with me....

just tired of the city. dealing with crap. can i come live with any of you?

    Yea......Missionary in the making!!!!

ilovemetal, have you tried reaching www.NAMB.net or WWW.answerthecall.net to discover how to serve as a missionary? Here you'll find opportunities, qualifications, requirements, and applications. It is great that God has put this on your heart. There are sooooo many needs everywhere for Christian help!!! A lots of people are out there hurting, never having heard of God. Please see what you can find out on this, as you probably won't be satisfied until you find "your" place.

Don't give up.....God has a plan for you.....
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that HE gave HIS only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in HIM should not perish, but have eternal life.

Your post really reached into my heart, God is so obviously doing a great work in your heart and you are working with Him. Congratulations on your first week of walking with Him and disciplining yourself not to go down the same old road.

What you are feeling about your friends, be they Christian or not is natural because you have two things going on at the moment. First of all the enemy is still trying to be the thief that comes only to steal and kill and destroy John 10:10 so he's trying to confuse your Christian relationships, whilst God is doing this good work in you AND because God is doing this good work in you and helping you to get rid of sin, the friendships in your life who don't have a relationship with God you need to remember John 15:19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

This might seem like a strong statement to make, however when you look at both sides of what is happening to you, God is taking you from the material world into His world and it's hard work. I pray and encourage you to hold true to His path, He will provide you with true friends who've been down this path of changing friends, and bring mature Christians into your life who you can share this journey with.

      God bless you. Linda

Hey man! You should defintly helpout at church for some time and do things to help people. By doing God's Work where you live then you will know what God has in store for you, you will know if missionary work is right for you. It's a really great thing that I would like to do myself sometime like join th Peace Corps.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians
