2 Peter 3:17-18 (New King James Version)

17] You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; 18] but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

    Growing in Grace and Knowledge

Growth is an interesting thing. When we are young, most of us want, at certain ages, to be in the next age grouping, 8 year old desire to be 12, 12 year old desire to be 16, 16 year old desire to be 18, but after 30, we seem to want to go back to being younger again. I guess it's because of the responsibility that comes with getting older, or it's the healing from pain that takes longer and longer as we grow older. One thing is for sure about growth, it happens to all of us.

God wants His children not just to grow old physically, but spiritually as well. He desires for us to be growing in grace and knowledge. The church benefits from our individual growth. This week look at ways you can start or continue to grow in grace and knowledge.

FOR TODAY: Will you allow God to help you grow in grace and knowledge?
