  • Information End-Times Debate: "One or Two Resurrections / Judgments?"

There's a debate in the Arena this week between WPM and The Beginner and they will be discussing the nature and timing of the resurrection and judgement from their respective Amillennial and Premillennial perspectives. The title of the debate is "One or Two Resurrections/Judgments?"

You can find the debate here.

Check it out if you'd like, and comment on the proceedings in the Peanut Gallery, found here. Look forward to seeing you!
    The Rookie

Twelve is the number of government. Thus, it is quite apropos that I am on my way towards wielding the power of twelve bars - each bar like, say, a tribe.....or a star.....or, maybe an apostle. A blue apostle. Like apostle smurfs. Does anyone remember smurfs? And all the controversy about them being from the devil? It's probably bad that I juxtaposed "apostle" and "smurf" in the same sentence. But then, I probably lost you at "blue apostle". Yes, my friends, this is what "rare jewel of a person" is actually implying. "Rare Jewel of a Person" really means, "Potentially Insane".

Marty, go to whatever 'forum' where you'd like to start a thread, and click on it. For example, if its about 'End Times', go to that forum. There it will list all the ongoing conversations. At the top left, you'll see 'Post New Thread'.

Here's the Forums Index page (or just click on FORUM at the top of any page): http://bibleforums.org/forum.php
      My favorite scripture: Malachi 3:16

"Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name!" (Every time we speak of the Lord, or even THINK of him--its written down in a book of remembrance!)

Marty, your Private Messaging is turned off. Go to 'SETTINGS' at the top of the page. Then scroll down to PRIVATE MESSAGING and click it to turn it on. Then you can send private messages and receive them.

          I hope this helps.

Sorry I clicked settings and scrolled down but couldn't find private messaging are you sure that is what it says? I tried to send messages but it says that it is turned off and turn it on by editing your profile but I can't find anything that says that

Re: End-Times Debate: "One or Two Resurrections / Judgments?"

I am late to the party, but..... Since WPM opens up the debate with this:

Romans 14:10-12 says, we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

It is clear this is referring to a general judgment of all mankind.
I quit reading the debate right there, I detected a serious error. It is NOT clear at all that Paul means "all mankind" as WPM states. When Paul says "all men" he means all men, and when he says "us" he means believers (the many who shall be saved). WPM rather conveniently left off the first bit of verse 10 which says:

                              10Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God;

The Beginner points out this error in more detail. Such a serious mistake is a ship sinker so early on in the debate. All are judged, but that fact is not at all to support the idea that all are judged in the same single occasion. Hard not to party for a slam dunk for the pre-mil side.

(will try to read through more of the debate later, see if there are any other nuggets in there from either side)

                              All the best
