    Dan 8
8 Therefore the he goat waxed (Greece) very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

Who are the four notable ones wherein a little horn comes forth? Do we not see four in Dan 7 whereby a little horn arises??

So the four notable ones MUST be the lion, bear, leopard, and beast and thus CANNOT involve Babylon or MP as for the division into four parts occurs AFTER Babylon and MP !!!! Proving the four in Dan 2 are not the four in Dan 7

So then the lion, bear, leopard, beast (10 horns/little horn/8th head) must be the 4th kingdom in themselves. In addition within these four beasts there are seven heads the lion, bear, beast with one but the leopard has four heads which totals 7. The little horn being the eighth. This 4th kingdom comes up all together as seen in Dan 7 and Rev 13 wherein the Beast assumes power and control of the kingdom. This fourth kingdom comes from below and will arise at a time after much world chaos and will appear unto the world the government of God is upon the earth however it is a strong delusion. With that said we are still living in the era of Grecia and the four have yet to rise. Rome has nothing to do with the 4th kingdom.

Everyone knows the Four are the Four Generals of Alexander the Great. Where you been Willis ?

When he was asked who should succeed him, Alexander said, “the strongest”, which answer led to his empire being divided between four of his generals: Cassander, Ptolemy, Antigonus, and Seleucus (known as the Diadochi or 'successors'

The "little horn" of Dan 8 is *not* the same "little horn" of Dan 7. The Little Horn in Dan 7 is the Antichrist, who emerges out of the 10 nation Roman confederation. The Little Horn in Dan 8 is Antiochus 4, who arises as king over one branch of Alexander's divided Empire--the Seleucid Empire.

So then the four generals are the lion, bear, leopard, beast? As the four notable ones in chapter 8 must be the same as the four beasts in dan 7 thus debunks the claim that Antouchus 4 is in view in Daniel.

When you understand what I put forth that the four notable ones in chapter 8 have to be the same four in Dan 7 then the little horns MUST be the same not different!!!!!!!!!

The little horn in Dan 7 is end time which would also make the little horn in chapter 8 the same.

Of course they are the same, hence the Little Horn. We can tell via the INTERPRETATION Gabriel gives us.

Dan. 8:16 And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision. 17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.

19 And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.

            {{{ END of Gods Indignation means God's Wrath falls on mankind. }}}

21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. 22 Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power. 23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

            {{{The ABOVE is the Anti-Christ, Greece still has a Kingdom {and Greece is THE ONE he arises out of because its the only one in the E.U. or Fourth Beast}. It doesn't say in the in the LATTER TIME in which they were a Beast Power, it says in the last days of THEIR Kingdom, and Greece is still a Kingdom, like it or not, that is a fact. When the transgressors are come full means WHEN God's Wrath is filled up and running over. The King of fierce countenance comes forth, understanding DARK SENTENCES means he is very intelligent and hooked into the occultic dark practices. }}}

Daniel 8:24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

We have a TREASURE TROVE of clues here is we just hearken unto the facts instead of following Men's Traditions. Rev. 13:2 tells us Satan gives him his power and seat just like the above 24th verse of Daniel says, John is telling you who this is via Daniel 8:24

Rev. 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

Secondly he Destroys the Mighty and Holy peoples just like Daniel 12 says. I know Antiochus did also, but this is about the End Time Beast.

Thirdly, he Magnifies himself in his heart like no other AND he kills via PEACE something Antiochus was never accused of doing. We know he makes Agreements {Covenants} with Israel and MANY NATIONS then reneges on those promises of PEACE. Rev. 6 even calls the Red Horse a Seal tat TAKES AWAY THE PEACE, instead of BRINGS WARS.

Finally we see that he stands up against Jesus Christ the Prince of princes and is DESTROYED.......WITHOUT HAND........Just like Daniel 2 describes. Jesus of course SPEAKS VICTORY, just like he SPOKE CREATION !!

Dan. 2:34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

There will be no battle, Jesus will SPEAK VICTORY that is why we keep being told the Last Beast and his ilk will be defeated WITHOUT HANDS !!

The bible speaks for itself brother...

We have 2 big clues that Dan 8 is not about the antichrist
Firstly the antichrist comes from Rome, yet the character in Dan 8 comes from 1 of 4 Greek kingdoms

Secondly the antichrist is associated with a 3.5 year period, yet Dan 8 mentions 2300 evenings and mornings (2300 days or 1150 days, instead of 1260 days)

If a prophecy is about a war, the time of the end of that prophecy is when the war ends, if a prophecy is about an indignation, the time of the end of that indignation. Is when the indignation ends.

The secret to understanding Daniel 8 is to look for a Greek kingdom divided into 4 countries, and look for an evil leader among 1 of the 4 countries who will set up an evil indignation in Jerusalem for 1150 days. We have that man, Antiochus Epiphanes.

The two-horned ram that you saw represents the kings of Media and Persia. 21 The shaggy goat is the king of Greece, and the large horn between its eyes is the first king. 22 The four horns that replaced the one that was broken off represent four kingdoms that will emerge from his nation but will not have the same power.“In the latter part of their reign, when rebels have become completely wicked, a fierce-looking king, a master of intrigue, will arise.

That isn't rocket science, history shows us that Greece conquered Persia, Greece was split into 4, and in the latter part of the Seleucid kingdom, Antiochus persecuted the Jews and set up a statue of Zeus in the temple. We shall never have such a sequence of matching events again. Antiochus gives us many clues as to the nature of the antichrist.

He indeed arises out of the Fourth Beast, this is where God is so awesome in His VAST INTELLIGENCE brother. Those books do not have chapters and verses. God told Daniel that a lot of these secrets He told Daniel in codes/parables/prophecies, would only be revealed in the later times {now}. So you stated CORRECTLY, that the Little Horn has to come out of the Fourth Beast {Europe}. How do you make a great password or a hard to unlock lock ? You LAYER IT with Information/MORE CODES/more numbers. So God being vastly more intelligent that us layered this Prophetic Prophecy in three places, Daniel 7 tells us WHERE he Arises to power {E.U.} Daniel 8 tells us where he is BORN {since he Arises to power in the E.U. he has to be born in the E.U. and AND AND in one f the Four Generals Kingdoms in the Latter time and ONLY Greece is in the E.U. !!

More Layers ? Look at Daniel 11 now, does it make sense now that we get such a DETAILED DESCRIPTIVE Prophecy about the Greek Kings ? LOL, Think about it now. We even get the TYPES in Antiochus and Jason {Little Horn and False Prophet}. Want another Layer from Isaiah ? In Isaiah 10 we are told this man will be an Assyrian, which was an Iraqi, Turkish, Syrian country that covered parts of all three nations. Greece has a border with Turkey, many Turks live in Greece !! See hoe it all fits ?

The Anti-Christ must come out of the Fourth Beast {E.U.} CHECK.......He must be born in one of the Four Generals Kingdoms and Greece is in the E.U. {CHECK} and he has to be an Assyrian and Turkey has a border with Greece {CHECK} and we have a DETAILED RUNDOWN on the Greek Kings like none other in Bible Prophecy.

POINT AT HIM Ron............The Anti-Christ is an Assyrian {probably Turk, could be Syrian/Iraqi} who is born in Greece, which gives him the right to become the E.U. President.

Secondly the antichrist is associated with a 3.5 year period, yet Dan 8 mentions 2300 evenings and mornings (2300 days or 1150 days, instead of 1260 days)
Yes sir, and 1150 days fits inside the 1260 days. So there is seemingly a 90 day difference, we know Jesus returns and ends the Beast rule at the 7th Vial, but God could no doubt force the Beast and false Images out of the Holy of Hollies anytime he so chooses, maybe they just up and leave to gather to war at Armageddon, etc. etc. The important thing is the 1150 fits inside the 1260. The rest is God's business/timing.

Yes that's my view as well. This evil leader came from one of the four Greek kingdoms. Antiochus Epiphanes. Leader of the Seleucid Empire.

Your view is well thought out, however I feel there are flaws though. I regard the actual 4 Grecian kingdoms as a better fit, because they were the actual kingdoms that followed Alexander's conquest, and they all fell to Rome. Thus the latter part fits those kingdoms best at that time before they fell. It doesn't fit as smoothly now, thousands of years after those 4 kingdoms fell.

In addition Antiochus fits perfectly, why then look for another fulfillment?

Don't mistake me for a preterist on this issue, I regard Dan 7, Dan 9:27b, and Daniel 11:35-45 as referring to the antichrist, as well as 2 Thess 2 and Rev 13.

So I'm not denying that the antichrist is reflected in Daniel, I just anticipate that we will be better prepared if we study the antichrist's forerunner, Antiochus Epiphanes.

Yes, I knew you weren't a Preterist. God gave me the Layered Anti-Christ understanding about three or four years ago. Just like the Greek lineage shows the Anti-Christ as the Last King of Daniel 11, chapter 8 must also be that last king of the latter time. I don't think Antiochus is that significant in history, except for being a TYPE with a False Prophet TYPE named Jason. If Daniel 11 shows the Anti-Christ to be the last of these Greek Kings then Daniel 8's later times can only be about the very end times. The overall book points to that End Time as we see in Daniel 12.

There are no chapters and verses, we know that. God is not going to confuses us with a back to back account of Little Horns who are different people, Hes layering His Prophecy. He didn't want men to understand it until the very end, thus the extra layers made it hard to understand until the E.U. formed AND had Greece in it, thus no one could possible get this without divine Revelation, until the 1950's or later.

I personally don't think Antiochus WAXED Great toward the East either, he inherited his Kingdom which was already over the East, then during his Jewish and Egyptian ventures, the Parthians to the East was taking the eastern kingdom back so he went to war with them and died, thus he never ever WAXED GREAT towards the East, he inherited those Kingdoms and invaded Egypt and Israel, but I don't think his eastern campaign was him waxing great at all.

That being said, even if the Dan. 8 prophecy had a double prophetic event in it, which happens at times in the bible, I am only interested in the future prophetic even at this point in time. I see the Little Horn however as only pointing to one man, the end time Beast.

I think (imo) that you reach the conclusion that you do, primarily because you do not see that there are 2 prominent figures found in Daniel 7:24 when it says that "another" shall arise after the first (ten). It is the little horn, found among the 10 horn kingdom, that comes first and causes the whole world, including Jerusalem, to be broken in pieces. We find in Rev 17 that the 10 horns makes war with the LAMB and the lamb overcomes them. The 4th beast of Dan 7, is the 4th kingdom, singular. The little horn and the one that comes after, "the another", are successive rulers over this (one) fourth kingdom. A beast is symbolically represented as a single kingdom, and never does it represent multiple kingdoms, [but it is interpreted that way]. The beast from the sea & the beast from the earth, Rev 13, are the symbolic representations of this same 4th kingdom. It has 10 horns at the time that it wages war on Jerusalem AND JESUS. But after its encounter with JESUS, Dan 7 tells us that the beast is destroyed and its body (the leader) is given to the burning flame.

What we find is that this king that arises afterward, to rule this kingdom of the beast, has only 2 horns afterward.
From this, we (should) recognize that the little horn rises before this other king. So, unless you believe that the little horn of Dan 7 is not the same as the one in Dan 8, then we know that the breakup of the He-goat kingdom of Greece, [into 4 lesser kingdoms] takes place BEFORE the little horn rises to power, and not after And because there are two prominent figures in Dan 7, AND because we recognize that Jerusalem and the temple are destroyed at that time, AND that he (Daniel) knows little of what happens to his people during this time of the 2nd king (of the beast kingdom), Then,
[The reason for what Daniel records in chapter 8] should find us with a clearer understanding of what is written there. What words are those?...

Dan 8:19 KJV And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.

And what is it that is revealed to us there?

For 2300 evenings & mornings, because of transgression, "an host shall be given", DURING THE TIME, in which the sanctuary and host are trodden under foot. Daniel 8 is an expositional addendum to what is not revealed nor told about in Daniel 7 during the time of this 2nd king when Jerusalem and the temple are lying in ruins. It would seem counterproductive that God's plan of redemption for Israel would be taking place without Jerusalem being the centerpoint of events taking place there. A re-read of Isa 66 would be helpful at this juncture to see that the destruction of Jerusalem correlates with the travailing woman of Rev 12, when she [Zion/ Jerusalem] flees into the wilderness for 1260 days.

                            PUP,

Not sure I follow your reply. However you appear to question the two horns on the second beast Rev 13 and that these horns show this beast to have to be before others

Let me explain the two horns. The first beast has 10 horns and the second has two. So we have a total of 12 horns in Rev 13.. What do these 12 represent? Well biblically they would represent Israel hence we see this second beast assume control over the divided kingdom of Israel 10/2. The second beast (little horn/ 8th king) being king over the kingdom has united both houses. So the ten kings are 10 kings each over one tribe of the northern kingdom of Israel, wherein the second beast is from the southern kingdom of Judah which has two tribes.

What we are seeing in Rev 13 is a king which has assumed control over the world claiming to be the Lion from the tribe of Judah. The 12 total horns shows control over Israel and the 7 heads represent the church. The beast has destroyed the infidel (true believers/saints) then goes and marries the woman in Rev 17.

The little horn in Dan 7 is end time which would also make the little horn in chapter 8 the same.
You read, perhaps, that the word "little horn" is the same in both Dan 7 and Dan 8, and therefore conclude that they are the same, and that the 4 divisions in Dan 8 have to be the same in Dan 7. Use of the same term does not imply the same entity is being referred to. In fact I believe it is a fallacy to do this.
