  • a song that keeps on playing on my mind. . .

I have this worhip song that's been on my mind and It keeps re-occurring in my mind and I can't do without singing it. Naturally, this happens to me.

    It goes like this:

LORD I WILL BOW TO YOU

Lord, I will bow to You
To no other God but You alone
    Lord, I will worship You
Nothing hands have made but You alone

I will lay down my idols
    Thrones I have made
All that has taken my heart

Lord, I will bow to You
To no other God but You alone
Lord, I will bow to You
To no other God but You alone

    Lord, I will worship You
Nothing hands have made but You alone
I will lay down my idols
    Thrones I have made
All that has taken my heart

Lord, I will bow to You
To no other God but You alone
I will lay down my idols
    Thrones I have made
All that has taken my heart

Lord, I will bow to You
To no other God but You alone
I will lay down my idols
    Thrones I have made
All that has taken my heart

Lord, I will bow to You
To no other God but You alone
Lord, I will bow to You
To no other God but You alone
    16. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
    17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
    18. Wherefore comfort one another with this word. (1Thessalonians4:16-18)

    I love the words
There is nothing like hearing the prayer of a little child

Take out the word "will", and not tell the Lord what you intend to do in the future. And instead, in the present tense, do what you have written.

I am a flower quickly fading
        Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
        A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord You catch me when I'm falling
And You told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours

This is my favorite song, whenever I feel sad I just listen to this song and everything will turn out fine.

I like the song..reminds me that things or people can even in part replace our worship of God especially in our present societal culture where self-centerness is so often encouraged by media, current trends, and even by counselors.
"The flowers appear on the earth,
the time of singing has come,
and the voice of the turtledove
          is heard in our land
          ." SofS 2:12 (RSV)
