  • Update on my Dad and Family

I found out that my dad was shoplifting, and has been for awhile. That's what he was arrested for. He's described symptoms that fit depression, and kleptomania and having some of the serious side effects of the medication he takes. My parents are currently going to talk to our pastor who is also a mental help specialist. My Mom has eaten half a hot dog and toast in 36 hours. I'm just happy she's eaten something. I'm leaning on God through this and have felt a peace I can't remember when I felt it last. I'm casting my worries on him and know that in time and in his way he will answer my prayers. Please continue to pray for my Dad, and that he can get the help he needs for his depression and other problems. Please pray for my Mom that she will pray to Him for her struggles. Please pray for me that I can speak what needs to be spoken and that I can be strong for my family.

I remember reading on of your first threads about this...Praise God that he has now shown you what was wrong so help can be gotten for your father!!! Jesus has healed many people of many things and mental touble is not an exception. I am praying and I look forward to your father's full recovery and I am glad that God has given you peace!

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

If what your father did was totally out of character for him I would strongly suggest that you also seek the advice of his physician. When my own father was acting and speaking out of character I took him to see the doctor and we found out that he had a true medical emergency. Please look into this for his sake.
