  • "The ball is in neither of your courts."

I've been in a limbo the past few weeks regarding a situation with this guy. Where him and I left things off, I don't know if the ball is now in my court or his. As a girl I don't know if I'm supposed to reach out to him first or wait for him to reach out to me. One day this week, I seemed to hear a voice spontaneously out of nowhere, that said "the ball is in neither of your courts."

The ball is in neither our courts?! What does this mean?

Neither of you are in a position to take offense with the other's behavior. Neither should expect the other to apologize first because you are both at fault.

Pray tell, what is this about? Relationship issue or scripture?
