God does not violate free will.
Free will is your free choice to be a slave to Christ, or a slave to sin. That is the extent of free will. All authority exists by God, and is removed by God. Democracy is only one of the methods God use to remove or install authority. If you think you are the source of authority, you are claiming to be equal to God.

We've said no such thing. See the confusion a hardened heart brings to the discussion?

God permitted men to form a government that is not a democracy, but a republic, and in the founding documents the country acknowledges that the people are sovereign, not the government.

Free will does not exist limited only to salvation.

If God grants someone authority, then exercising that authority is not claiming to be equal to God.

Unless you are King James of course......
Those who seek God with all their heart will find Him and be given sight. Those who seek their own agenda will remain blind.
