I have an ESV study Bible and like the translation alright. This study Bible has really good notes! Only once did I have a strange experience during a Bible study with the ESV in which I was asked to read Proverbs 23:7, which says in the ESV - for he is like one who is inwardly calculating. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, but his heart is not with you.

People with other translations looked at me like, what? The first part of that verse in other translations say: NASB - For as he thinks within himself, so he is. KJV - For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: which was the point my Pastor who was leading the Bible study was trying to get across and even he looked confused when I read the first part of Proverbs 23:7 from the ESV.
