Free gift , or the highest price....

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all....

...Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.”
    **Isaiah‬ *53:3-7, 10-11‬ *KJV‬‬

“behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand. And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders....

...And they all forsook him, and fled.

And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes. And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire. And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none. For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.

And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses? Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death. And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.
    **Mark‬ *14:41-43, 45-46, 50, 53-56, 60-65‬ *KJV‬‬

“And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.

And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing. And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee. But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled. ....

....And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews? And they cried out again, Crucify him. Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him. And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Praetorium; and they call together the whole band. And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head, And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews! And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him. And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.

“Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; (<<< why were forgiven)for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.”
    **Luke‬ *23:34‬ *KJV‬‬

And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left. And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors. And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,

Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.

And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

And one ran and filled a sponge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down. And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.”
    **Mark‬ *15:1, 3-7, 9, 11-20, 24, 27-29, 31, 33-34, 36-37‬ *KJV‬‬

“For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth...

...Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.”
    **1 Peter‬ *2:21-22, 24-25‬ *KJV‬‬

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
    **2 Corinthians‬ *5:21‬ *KJV‬‬

understand the price our savior paid, salvation is not free, it is freely offered by the ONE who paid in full the price for our sins that we may be made the righteousness of God in him who suffered and died. Go to his word, Give him your trust, He is the one and only savior the one and only Christ, live for the one who died for you, that you might live's why he paid the price.

    2 Corinthians 5:15

"And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again."

When we stand before the Lord to give account of our lives lived in his sight, purchased by his suffering what will our heart reveal? Find life that is truly life in our Lord, have faith .

    Have faith, God bless

Re: Free gift , or the highest price....

Notice regarding his suffering and death.

the Jews first caused his suffering, then delivered him to Pilate a gentile, who delivered him to Roman soldiers to be mock beaten and flogged, then delivered him to be crucified by cause of the Jews, and carried out by Gentiles. All peoples are complicit not only Israel, but Gentiles as well.

his blood is shed for all who will believe, doesn't matter when or where we find him, who we were before, what color skin we have, our gender, our social status.....the only common denominator, is to believe His gospel. First believe that he was crucified for your sins, and was raised up on the third day, and was taken up to heaven in the clouds in full sight of many witnesses.

if you need help believing that, consider the witnesses of this believed what they saw and heard so much, that most gave thier loves when denying his truth would have saved thier lives. They were hanged on crosses wrapped in oil soaked linens to light neros garden for carnival games because they refused to deny the truth of Jesus Christ. They were used as sport for the crowds watching as they were devoured by wild animals, they were burned at the stake, whole families tossed to lions and bears for the sport of a crazed emperor. They were boiled in vats of oil , skinned alive, beheaded and who knows what other tortures they endured because they believed so much the gospel and the promise of eternal life.

one would think this would be strictly Christian accounts, in actuality, many different accounts of non Christian historians took note. Even the Roman citizens got to the point they felt horrible for what the Christians were put through, as Nero made sport of thier suffering after he himself set the fire in Rome the Christians were blamed for. No one knows the number of Christians martyred during and after the siege of Jerusalem, through the reign of emperors to come, but for more than 100 years Christian persecution was state sponsored in Rome we know this from historical writings of non Christians and Christians alike.

the most important time in human history was when Jesus Christ began his ministry, preached the gospel of the kingdom of God and when completed, went through the horrors of the cross, the suffering, shame, humiliation, false accusations, insults, being spit upon, whipped, beaten, mocked as he hung there forgiving us all for our sins. Why ? Were our sins that big of a deal?........yes sin is is the root of every evil man does , and sin is the reason for our beloved savior so suffering.

can you hear them slapping his face? Laughing, bowing down in mockery? The holy one who came to offer them eternal life....can you hear the snap of the Roman whip on nine tails ? Can you see his splattered blood already being spilled on his agony? Can you place yourself as a witness to what he went through to love us? To save us? Can you see him stripped and dressed in scarlet with the thorns upon his head, pressing into his skull as they struck him with the reed? Again the Gentiles bow as the Jews mockery they worship the's personal to us now as it was to those who stood far off watching in tears. This just and gentle one , who did no sin, and came for the purpose of saving us this way from our sins, those things we are surely guilty of.

can you see him having nails driven through his hands that healed , through his feet that brought the gospel of salvation to us? Can you hear Lord Jesus' cries of pain, can you see his agony? Can you hear him calling from the cross "Father forgive them" can you see the passers by wagging thier heads, casting still insults upon our holy savior, hanging there as a curse upon sinners between two common criminals deserving thier punishment?

can you hear his loud and final cry " It is finished"......always remember his sacrifice when life is hard, when temptation comes along, remember how sin really appears....his beaten and broken body, drained of his blood, pierced through his side.......and follow him out of the tomb in which he was laid for you and I, the power of God is beyond our reasoning, beyond our comprehension. He is able and you know he is willing of only you have seen what he did on the cross for us all, you, your neighbor, your children , your loved ones, your enemies, those people who get on your nerves sometimes......

Have faith Jesus is plenty able, he is willing to the point of agonizing death to save after the words he spoke forth before he suffered.....God bless
