IOW what does the quality of conservative messaging have to do with your post, and what is high quality conservative messaging?
    This is great conservative messaging:

Most millennials have never seen or heard anything like this.

This is the politics of envy and greed, nothing more. People are entitled to the fruits of their labor and it isn't the government's job to "make it fair". And I say this as a middle class individual. I was a literal blue collar worker. I don't mind other people "having more stuff" than me. Just gives me something to aim for.

Cool, I'd like to talk about this messaging, if you want, if not , then not.

I've actually heard this monologue a few weeks ago, and I don't feel that he addresses my question. For someone who cares about the environment for example, how is capitalism better than socialism at solving its problems? I'd really prefer it in your or someone's own words if possible.

I don't believe that either Capitalism or Socialism are to be used to "solve" environmental or even some social problems and concerns. I believe that's a completely different function of both governments and our society as a whole.

Well, I meant i'd like to talk "to you" about this messaging, not looking so much for permission as an agreement that you want to talk about it with me.

Hmm, would public services be forms of socialism as you define it? Just in the most general sense, good or bad.

This is perhaps a gross generalization, but in my view Socialism simply doesn't work over the long haul. There is not enough personal incentive under socialism, because the government guarantees equal reward for the producer as for the non-producer.

Furthermore, Socialism is top-heavy, because it is all about universal government control. To have and maintain power it obtains a huge civil service, often based on a single political party. This robs the people of wealth and rewards those who wish to maintain the socialist government.

Capitalism is not always effective, but with controls, encourages individual initiative. Large companies do not, of course, always work for the public well-being. So government controls are necessary in this system, to avoid monopolies and self-serving activities that harm the public.

Environmental interest is something that emerges out of the public, when problems occur. The government can, of course, contribute to studies and to solutions.

A big government, such as in Socialism, is as much interested in self-preservation as in protecting the public. There would be no real difference between a socialist government and big business in this respect. For me, it is all about keeping more wealth in private companies, and away from the government bureaucracy, and then maintaining government control over these companies.

"Maintaining government control" so that they cannot abuse their clients/consumers or employees? Or do you mean "control" differently?

I believe in private companies, and even big corporations. We need government to maintain control over them. Courts bring issues, like environmental concerns, out into the public. Government maintains control over all institutions, while it must itself be kept small and overseen.

Yes, that would be a legitimate taxation question. However, if you try to over-tax the wealthy, as some young Democrats have proposed, the wealthy simply disappear.
