Re: Are The Laws Done Away With?

Sort of the revelation we need to grasp is stuff like this

“Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

...Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

...But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
    **James‬ *1:18, 21-22, 25‬ *KJV‬‬

that is really the answer for Christians , find the word of Christ in the gospel believe it and begin applying it to life.

Two things about the Sabbath. 1.) It was established at creation. The 4th Commandment doesn't say: Thou shall keep the Sabbath. It says Remember the Sabbath which was passed down through Hebrew tradition. 2.) The "rest" part of the Sabbath pictures the millennial reign so it isn't fulfilled yet (Hebrews 3 & 4).

Now, on to the "perfect law of liberty" spoken of in James. What does that law consist of? James 2:11,12 "For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty." Whoops! There is that Mosaic law again popping up where we don't want it. Go back and reread your scripture from James 1. Now you know what he was speaking about.
John 15:17 "These things I command you, that ye love one another."
