That's pretty serious language for what Scripture does actually teach:

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. For it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” (Galatians 3)

God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf. (2 Corinthians 5)

He has poured out His life unto death, and He was numbered among the transgressors. He bore the sin of many. (Isaiah 53)

By canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands, this he set aside, nailing it to the cross. (Colossians 2)

He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree. (1 Peter 2)

The reason we are forgiven is because Christ, the pure lamb, was substituted in place of us. We escape judgment because Jesus became our curse and sins, and He took the punishment of God on behalf of us. This is why the gospel is such good news!
    「耶和華聖潔無比,獨一無二,沒有磐石像我們的上帝。
    撒母耳記上 (1 Samuel) 2:2

For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. - 2 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 21 -

If Jesus didn't take our sin and become the propitiation, then who did ? Because someone had to take God's wrath.

Yet it was the Lord's will to crush Him and cause Him to suffer, and though the Lord makes His life an offering for sin, He will see He will see His offspring and prolong His days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in His hand. - Isaiah 53 -10
